because.
That NES game, even if it wasn't popular, was probably worth 4 times what they gave you.

There was one a game shop where I could buy old N64 games.
Guess what happened to it?
It was replaced...
With a Sylvan Learning Center. |

@link most releases of zelda I & II on the NES were gold the gray cart variant is actually harder to find |

you won't find grey ones for that much more probably $5 - $10 more
although when you get to the N64 zeldas there's a bigger increase between gold/grey cart prices |
