Say a user has made a ton of alts, and he has been banned multiple times for something really bad. You IP banned him but he knows how to reset his router. You should just ban his computer!
How: When banned, give them a cookie that prevents them from entering the site okay the end everybody go home. |

| Oh sure blame ROBLOX and all the moderators because you got yourself banned. Then make a pointless forum about how mad you are! |

| Yes, but let's have it insert 40,000,000 cookies, so you take a long time to delete them all. |

Better idea:
Lets have it track your i.p., just like you said:
Every time you enter the site, it re-creates the cookie, if you delete it. The cookie also documents i.p. Because you still have the cookie, Roblox can re-register your i.p., even if you change it.
This system can be built into roblox itself, so the only way to get around it would be to uninstall roblox, delete the cookie, and change your i.p., before entering the site.
This would work a lot better. |

I don't think you understand cookies very well. They already give you a cookie to suspend account creation, but you can just clear your cookies or use a different browser. There's no way to ban someone based on their computer. Last time I checked MAC addresses aren't sent in the HTTP headers and they could be spoofed anyways.
I don't really think this is a big problem that exists anyways. I was IP banned at one time, yet I'm not a walking menace to the community for getting around it. |
