(NOTE: THERE ARE ONLY SO MANY PEOPLE THAT CAN JOIN. ONLY SEVEN CAN JOIN.) Table of Contents: Intro: (necessary, at least skim it if you're reading the TLDR) TLDR Version (optional) Culture (recommended) Races (skim it) Geography (skim it) Rules (necessary) CS (necessary) The figure sat at the chair, dipping his brush into the bottle of ink. Before him lay a thick, black sketchbook. There was a picture of mountains, beautiful, massive mountains overlooking an enormous lake below them. After a few minutes, he stood, clutching the sketchbook before walking outside the small house. People gathered around him, whispering and gossiping quietly as they followed after him. Finally, the man set the sketchbook down. They were in a vast, frigid wasteland only a few miles beyond the little house he'd been working at. As soon as he put the sketchbook down, everybody backed away. Suddenly, vast, snow-capped mountains sprouted from the earth, towering over the minuscule humans. A large pit began to fill in the earth, and water poured into it. The people cheered, and the man bowed before walking away. Long ago, there used to be Ink Masters for the seven Main Regions. The world used to be a wasteland, and forests were seldom found. However, a few small clans began to develop a special talent. They could DRAW THINGS TO LIFE. The drawing could last forever and only water could kill it. However, if one simply made a little doodle of a dragon and made it larger, it could scare the enemy, but it wouldn't be able to do anything. Give is a skeleton and organs and it could be a demon. After a little while, the drawings would become real. If you drew an ant, it could become real in a day. If you drew a dragon, it would become real in about a month. The best Artist in each region was deemed an Ink Master, and the gods would bless them with a special sketchbook that enhanced their power and granted them eternal youth. Only through combat could the Ink Masters die, and they were strong and formidable opponents. They were basically the representatives for each of the Seven Regions, but there was always a government ruling over the place. The Ink Masters were more like Figureheads. However, after a few centuries, something horrible happened. The Ink Masters were lost and their sketchbooks hidden away. The world went back to wastes, and many people died off because they were too well taken care of and not ready for the wastelands. It's been centuries since then, and nobody can figure out what happened. However, many Artists have tried to band together to find out, but it's never really worked out for them and they found little success. You left your village, your town, your city. You left home with no exploration team. Shortly into your travels, however, you found a small band of travelers and joined them for personal reasons. Soon, your team rose up to seven. Just like each of the seven regions. It's been a few months since you began your travels with your team. You're currently in the First Region, Acar, the Region of Snow. You're probably just new to your talents. You certainly don't have the power of the Ink Masters of before, but you can draw things to life and make basic structures. You're not bad, but you're no master. TLDR FOR THE LAZIES: There used to be powerful people who could draw things to life, and there used to be a figurehead "Ink Master" who had eternal life and power because the Gods gave him/her a magical sketchbook for their talents. Suddenly something happened centuries ago destroying the Ink Masters and now you're an explorer in a team of seven searching for history and the sketchbooks for your own reasons. You can be able to draw things to life but you're still practicing. Blah. Culture The setting is more Medieval. People are still rebuilding the worlds, and many become nomads. Cities and riches are seldom these days, often there are only the ruins of the Seven Regions, and the towns and villages people live in. The world has gotten much better since the fall of the Ink Masters, but it's still getting there. Really, there isn't much gender discrimination, but there is rac.ism. Most people work as farmers, hunters, or traders to get by. Painting and writing aren't really necessary, and many people are still illiterate and consider writing and art vanities unless you're able to draw things to life. Really, the regions don't differ very much with the exception of Meerum & Pyll, the richest regions (it's nothing much, but they can follow more artistic pursuits). Moving on, there is fashion and styles, but they're not exactly glamorous. Women usually just wear skirts, stockings, dresses, turtlenecks, and occasionally button-ups. Their skirts usually have sashes or bows, but nothing all that flamboyant. Women will wear sandals, traveling boots, and simple slip-ons most the time. Richer women prefer to wear large hoop-skirts with tighter tops, they often wear jewelry and ribbons. Whereas normal clothes have more grays and earthy colors, their dresses tend to be more flamboyant. Men wear simple button-up shirts, vests, pants, etc. Aristocratic clothes don't differ too much, although they're probably made from better materials. Most wear simple slip-ons or boots, leather shoes are far too expensive. Food is similar. Meat is valued, people usually live off of herbs, berries, bread, and so on. People living in villages are more used to bread and farmed plants, whereas nomads live off of fish, berries, and herbs from the ground. Sometimes people will go out hunting, although it's rather hard. Common weapons include bows, arrows, knives, blades, and so on. Technologically, it's quite Medieval. Most people rely on artists who can bring drawings to life. However, the the regions of Pyll, there are many factories under protection of the government, most people don't know anything about them, but there are rumors of horrible things going on in there, things only officials and aristocrats now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Races Humans (Playable) By far the most common race, Humans can come in any shape and size. However, with the world being broken up and all, there are only about 2.5 billion humans left. They can come with many personalities. The most live in Meerum, Region Four. There is chaos amongst these people, and many would not hesitate cutting you up, roasting you on the spit and taking a chunk out of your arm and stripping you of all valuables. Very few of this species knows how to write or draw. Some have even gone back to, what 'Civilised' folk call 'That horrid stone age thing' which means they essentally just live in caves, and know no languages but grunts. Ink Folk Also known as IIIIINK PEEEPLE by drunks, these 'men' and 'women' can not be told from anyone else. They were left behind by the Inkmasters. The Inkmasters used them as servants, thus people thought they were good for slaving away, and that's what they did. These people have no emotions what-so-ever. However, they look just like any normal human. The few ways to spot these discriminated people are: A mark on their back. They hide this mark casually, so it's very hard to spot it. However, the easiest way is to always see their 'neutral' expressions and movements. There is also another way. These men and women often have their eyes closed, in order to hide grey eyes. If you are able to spot these eyes, it's a sign of it. Trixies Trixies are extremely small, fairy-like creatures. They are essentially a sprite, looking like a small ball of blue, red, green, yellow, etc with attenae sticking out. These spirits require you to walk clockwise around a 'mushroom circle'-which is essentially a circle with rocks painted like mushrooms or actual mushrooms around it-and clap your hands three times. After that, they will appear in your hands and will give you a task which is usually impossible to complete. If, somehow, you do manage to complete the task, they will grant you a wish. A 'great' wish indeed! However, the Trixie will burst into fairy dust when your wish is granted, leaving you alone in the room unless you brought a friend along. Entertaini These strange people are made when you put a human and a human together. Also known as freaks, the Entertaini are used for underground, shady freak shows. These freak shows are considered illegal and cruel. The humans are sown together, heads added onto bodies to make two heads, faces sliced off and put on other bodies, that sort of thing. They are considered fairy tales and horror shows by children and are often puppetized. They are also considered drunk tales, too, since all of the mention of 'entertaini' come from drunks in the rich taverns. Will O' Wisp These things look like normal female humans that glow in the dark blue and red, however many say 'Don't look into their eyes, don't go to the light and DO NOT SPEAK TO THEM.' The people say that they 'Drain your energy. You look into their eyes, they stalk you. Speak to them, they have consumed your soul. Go to the light, and... well... May God have mercy on your soul...' Lizard Folk (Playable) These people were made by an Inkmaster whom enjoyed mixing and matching species. The lizardfolk They repopulated and soon made villages, towns, and even cities. They are able to breathe underwater, and do not take kindly to strangers. They worship gods, and enjoy sacrificing humans to their gods on splattered tables. Only a few managed to get through these folk's sacrifices, and those people were soon kidnapped and never heard from again. They often die in ch.ildbir.th, but if they do not, they can live up to 150 years. Geography There are seven main regions, each with different traits. The people don't differ much, except for in Pyll and Meerum. We will have a special arc in each region, so you won't be bored. :3 The First Region, Acar- Acar is probably one of the least inhabited of the regions. A snowy, immense tundra spanning miles, with a giant mountain chain wrapping around it. Trees are seldom, but you can always find brush and bushes with berries, or dig into the earth for herbs. There are some packs of wolves, foxes, and so on. It's mostly inhabited by humans and Ink Folk servants, but you must be wary of the cold-blooded Will O' Wisps that hide in the deep caves of the mountains. Acar's caves run deep into the earth, and if you go down deep enough, you could find riches and history. However, most never come out alive and have to escape those nasty Will-O'-Wisp spirits. There are some towns and villages, but most are nomads traveling in caravans. Acar is connected to the second Region by a peninsula. The Second Region, Pyll- Pyll is perhaps one of the most bizarre regions. People really can't remember much about the original geography, as they have expanded so much. There are many cities just crammed with people. Thing is, they aren't the most populated. Meerum is the most populated, and it's got lots of space! Most people work in coal mines or facories. However, nobody really knows where the coal is going to, or what they're really building in the factories. All the same, the citizens really don't question it, as they're provided with free healthcare and school, and people can follow more artistic pursuits. Most the space in the region is used for factories and such, and only aristocrats and officials know much about it. There are some rumors about "deformed people", but they're dismissed as good thrillers and tales. The main problem is that the air is quite messed up from the smoke from the factories. The Third Region, Eclator- Eclator is just...Blazing hot. It's mostly sand dunes, with a few oasis', but nothing much. A few cacti, but there's the risk of hallucinating when you drink from them. However, there are berries and flowers that provide nourishment. At night, the temperatures drop quite a bit, but the heavens just shimmer with stars. It's so beautiful, people have left their homes just to see it. Residents of Eclator often live in the ground and have gotten used to tunneling through the earth. They usually go outside at nighttime for stars and rituals. The natives are often a sickly pale from avoiding the sun, and they avoid other people, so their religion is rather vague. The Fourth Region, Meerum- Meerum is a...rather interesting place. It's the largest region of all of them, with cloudless, beautiful days and rolling hills that seem to go on forever. This is where most of the population is. All the same, people have plenty of space. There's not a good deal of traveling, most people just settle down in little towns and villages. There's far more resources and a view of the ocean. They mostly farm and fish, trading with other regions. The people of Meerum are spectacular swimmers and make fantastic sailboats. They're strong-willed and content, with more time to follow artistic pursuits. The Fifth Region, Dasos- Dasos is mostly forests, it's quite hilly, but almost all of the region is cold. It's mostly hills, the ground is mossy and there are tons of trees blocking out the sun. Most of the flat lands are marshes and swamps, festering with Trixies and Will-O-Wisps. Again, most people are nomadic or live in treetops. They have developed tanned, olive skin overtime and are known for flexibility. Some live in treehouses, others travel in tiny groups. They are very independant, and have a fascinating culture. The Sixth Region, Begnion- Little is known about the region, it's actually the smallest. However, there are no towns, no fields, no factories...Because all of it is an immense castle. Some people have talked about it, and rumors have been spread, but people who have gone to it are never seen again. It's giant, made completely from stone and marble, with pure glass panes. Someone known as the "Prince" lives there, guarded by armies of servants and slaves. He has a major influence on all of the other governments, and is known for his tyrannical personality. He's sharp and short-tempered, but nobody knows anything about him. Nobody can even capture his servants.
The Seventh Region, Isteni- Isteni is the final region. Anyone can enter it...just that it's a stupid thing to do. Isteni is rumored to be the portal to the gods. However, only worthy ones may see them. Isteni is surrounded by a crumbling stone gate that was once magnificent, but it slowly began to erode centuries ago. It's really a wasteland, and a horrible wasteland. However, there is a spell making magical illusions. They don't test your strength, but your willpower, sanity, and morals. Hardly anyone has the strength to make it there, and in these days, it is rare to find a soul that has that much strength. __________________________________________ Rules 1: No godmodding. 2: Ignore trolls. 3: No trolling. 4: My Word>Admin's Word>Your Word 5: Put 'I read the rules and I will abide by the rules' in the 'Other' part of your CS. 6: Please try and use grammar. 7: Only 7 people are allowed in the game. 8: No Mary Sues/Gary Stus. 9: You may only be a Lizardfolk or a Human CS Name: A.ge: (14-25 for humans, 17-30 for lizard folk) Gender: Race: Appearance: Personality: What made you come on this mission: What are your artistic specialties?: Biography: Other: Admins: Jetthehawk Techmagss AbCatchem Snakehunt
