function parentMap(no) local a = game.Lighting:findFirstChild("Map"..no):Clone() -- THIS LINE a.Parent = game.Workspace end
while wait(15) do i = i + 1 if i >= 6 then i = 1 end parentMap(i) end
These are a few parts taken out of my script, can you use concatenation for the :findFirstChild(), and is there a more efficient way? |

| Go to Scripting Helpers next time, we don't want to see your scripts. |

| There is no time you have a string that you can't concatenate. |

>Troll I'd like to point out that this forum is _NOT_ for help requests. There is a specific subforum for this kind of topic, aka Scripting Helpers. I am no troll, I'm just pointing out what you should do next time. |

| Do you think anyone on the scripting helpers would even know what concatenation means? hmmm? |

| I'm from SH and I know what it means. Stop thinking SH is so lowly. There are some amazing scripters who post there. |

1) Zars gave you the answer in that thread 2) This is a completely different question than that |

To be honest, it was simpler I was asking them the definition of concatenation, and my first answer was incorrect. My work would have been for nothing. |

Definition would be something like:
"Concatening - Connecting two strings into one string" |

I have a better idea. How about you try the script in whatever you are doing? Or if you can't, make a quick command bar demo with variables of the same type.
I don't post every script I make on this forum and ask everybody if it will work. It just seems blindingly obvious to me to actually test it instead of asking people who have no idea about it if it works. |

| MrChickens, people from Scripters do make trips to SH, this just isn't the right place. Just look for concatenation in ROBLOX's wiki next time, or just the legit Lua's website. |

| Yeah, and instead of posting this useless thread, you could of tested it yourself. But no! You chose to post it here because you wanted to "show off." |

Showing off my inability to script? If anything, it was embarrassing not to know that you could concatenate in this way. It is impossible to test certain scripts as they only work online. |

Hey OP.
1. "Female Forumers." Does gender matter? 2. I heard there was a thing called wiki.roblox.com.

@destroyer115
what does her being part of the 'Female Forumers' group have to do with _anything_?

It's funny that Tenal's in that group but it won't directly state its gender.
Anyway, on-topic: MrChickens, why don't you just press the "start simulation" button or use the command bar to answer your own question? |
