Well, if you're a beginner I would suggest, HTML and JavaScript.

| I'd actually recommend Java. Personally, I love Java to bits. Plus, I haven't been able to find a (free) C++ compiler either. And I don't want to blow $200 on one. |

| I can learn and use C# and Javascript on Unity3D, the game design program. So since Javascript as far as I can doesn't seem too hard to understand (but require time) I think I will start with it, then do another language. |

| I personally like Java better. If you dive into Android programming, you could get some cash on the side as well. |

You did not do your research enough because I have Visual Studio and it's for free. Also I found the site for code::blocks.

| Learning Javscript for now, then I'll do maybe C++, but this won't be until like a year of learning Javscript or until I get the hang of it. |

I learned JavaScript. Was one of the biggest coding mistakes I've ever made.
Unless you want to go into web design, don't choose JavaScript. |

Isn't Javascript used for UI's?
Well, honestly, what is the purpose of both of them, what are they used for? |

| The only languages you learn in college are Java and C, and possibly some C++. |

| Is there a game editor or something where I can use Java? If there is, then I have no reason to pick up on Javascript, and I was told Java is used to mod MC, so it would be nice to try it out on that somehow. |

Eclipse has been mentioned in this thread. NetBeans exists, too, but I personally don't like it.
Eclipse if your best bet. It may be a bit confusing at first, but it gets real easy real fast. |

Javascript is the best way to start out if you are learning something. It's very useful and goes with html and sometimes php, depending on the scripter. |
