So if I have parts together that are unanchored and weld surfaces, how would I make it so that they break apart without using BreakJoints()?

Set the surfaces to Smooth. Why would you not want to use BreakJoints()?
part.TopSurface = 0 part.ButtomSurface = 0 part.FrontSurface = 0 etc. etc.

@Above
Didn't work.
In stickmasterluke's Disaster Survival, the flood keeps the surfaces as welds, and it makes the parts collapse even when they are anchored.
And the flood isn't setting the anchor to false, since parts above them will fall down.
But they aren't already unanchored, because you can't move the parts when you are in the game.
How is this possible?

When the flood rises, I want the parts it touches to collapse and break off from other parts they are connected too.

| Well they can't be anchored to do that.... Make them unanchored then :BreakJoints() |

| Breakjoints, then make all the surfaces smooth and unanchor the part. That should make the one part fall off from the rest. |

They are unanchored, and they're weld surfaces.
BreakJoints() is not doing anything to the welds.

Just examined the flood in game
All his parts are connected with welds only on surfaces that need the weld.

Surface = 0 and breakjoints or maybe his game is also connected by a weld object?
If not, maybe once hacks come out again, you can stealz his game and find out ;] |
