Scripting is not hard. Ima show you a script that will make a brick invisible then not. (Blinking brick) Script: function script.parent.workspace.(name of your part).transparency = 1 wait (0.3) script.parent.workspace.(name of your part).transparency = 0 wait (0.3) script.parent.workspace.(name of your part). transparency = 1 wait (0.3) script.parent.workspace.(name of your part).transparency = 0 end
Make sure you don't have multiple names of whatever your part is named or else this script won't work. Before you start ANY script you need to put, "function" and when you want to end the script you put, "end". Now, youtube is a place you can get better help from. Ima show you a harder script. This script will kill you. Script: function kill.player(ontouch)--This kills your player end
I know that script doesn't seem hard, but it is for begginners. This is the first post. I will make more advanced ones! |

I'm sorry, but you got this script wrong. Capitals are everything when it comes to scripting. And you do not, in fact, need "function" and "end". You also put an extra space in line 6 after the period.
To explain a bit more in-depth; When writing a script, it is crucial that you use capitals when needed, it helps the system find the actual parts. If you do not, you will get an error. In your above script, you wrote "script.Parent". But that will not work, it will need to be "script.Parent". This is because Parent starts with an uppercase, not a lowercase. You also do not need "function" at the beginning of your scripts. The "function" keyword is mostly used to store blocks of code for later, or for passing variables. If you do not use "function", your script will still work. |

@op might as well just put crash__() in the command bar or while true do end

@Jonah13249
To be quite honest, I don't know if he would even be able to manage that. He'd probably end up writing something like "white false do end" |

"And you do not, in fact, need "function" and "end"."
You may not need function, but absolutely, you will need an end if you are using any kind of statement.
"script, you wrote "script.Parent". But that will not work, it will need to be "script.Parent"."
He wrote "script.parent", not "script.Parent". :P
"If you do not use "function", your script will still work."
Not unless the script needs a function... Haha... o.o
