It's much funner(?) to cheat as Latvia and take over the world.
By 1945 I controlled all of Europe, Africa, Asia and South America as Latvia. |

You know even without cheating it is fairly easy to storm Europe by 1938, right? Without cheating as the Soviet Union I puppeted all of Europe to the Benelux countries (which included West Germany and East Germany) |

I phrased that wrong
basically what I meant to say is that I puppeted all of Europe to Belgium, the Netherlands and the GDR and DDR. |

@skellor
make sure you are using your AI generals and theatering your forces
without organizing your forces they perform badly (not to mention a hell of a time micromanaging this all) and it is hard to form a defensive or offensive front.
to get the FULL combat bonus, always format your units with at least one infantry or AA unit and have a full command structure (all units in corps, corps in army corps, army corps in army groups, army groups in HQ units) |

yeah ive learned that if you just deploy units on their own they really suck at fighting

im tryed to do that but i put the AI on for production and deployment
but the AI doesnt deploy into HQ groups and it still produces a lot
theres like 500 total divisions just sitting in leningrad because thats where the AI deploys them all with no command structure and im too lazy to go and put them all in |

as long as they are attached to HQ units it should be good.
go to the panel on the top right corner of your screen and find the Leningrad HQ (or is it STAVKA they are attached to?) and find a part that looks like it has a button on it. Click that part and the AI will move all the troops to form a defensive line on your borders, with emphasis placed on theats (example, they will put more forces facing Poland then Latvia) |

Also, be careful if you death stack troops outside of Urban areas, they will drain so much supplies that they will be useless in combat.
Also, if they aren't in HQs already go into your production page, turn production off and go to the bottom. The should be a button that says "theater forces". Click that and it will put your forces into an HQ. You can turn AI back on after that. |

| A good country to start out playing as is Sweden, because they aren't involved in any wars during the game, they are pretty advanced (I am able to get aircraft carriers by 1939) and have a steady resource base. |
