Heyo!
Maybe some of you guys have seen my game or previous threads I made for my game in this forum. If not you may want to take a minute or so to get an idea of the game -

Anyways you may have guesssed it but I'm in need of some new game ideas. If you decided not to check out the game here's a run down on some of the main features:

1) Randomly Generated Mazes
----Each maze is randomly generated for more intrestring/random gameplay
2) Cool Maze Transformations
----Every few minutes the maze will block all entrances, transport players onto top of maze and then transform into a new maze
2) Gui Shop
----Shop has different items allowing you to easily buy weapons( and perks) during gameplay
3) Power Ups
----Power-Ups randomly spawn in different locations after each maze generation. Finding power-ups will give you special perks to temporarily use
4) Fake Power-Ups
----Similar to real power-ups, fake power-ups randomly spawn around the maze but explode on touched :)
5) Maze Guardians
----Somewhere around the maze there will be an area, that when stepped on, will activate a maze guardian to find and chase after victim. Only way to escape is by killing maze guardian(Before it kills you :P) or escaping maze

Anyways this game has turned out well so far, but unfortunately I've ran out of ideas :/ I'd appreciate for you guys to give suggestions on different aspects of the game or even new ideas in general. Keep in mind that I can script pretty much anything but that doesn't mean I want to script anything(What I mean is please don't make ridiculous suggestions)

1. Perhaps make some parts of the maze destructible, some of the walls that can be blown up by some device, making quick escape routes and ambush points.

2. Consider locking the camera so you cannot zoom out. You may not want to do this, but without it I can just zoom out and find everyone and how to get to the end. A roof may also fix this problem.

3. More structural details wouldnt hurt, but due to it being randomly generated, I can see how that might be a problem.

1 - That's actually a pretty cool idea :o I'll see if I can get that implemented ;)

2 - Well I actually did do this awhile ago but the biggest problem was that players just didn't know where to go. Not only does this slow game-play(especially for small servers) but it basically leaves a player blind. The idea may seem exciting but in reality it really just makes the game a bit dull

3 - Umm are you talking about buildings? The game is random but I created it in a way so it'd be easy to add new variables to the randomness

I've seen this trying to be made in Blender 3D's GE... That guy was pretty epic.

He had destroyable walls, traps, timed traps...

Add those. It will make this way better... Mazes are like obby a bit... :/

All sound like the game randomly creates everything.... Nice.

Pretty much hehe ;) Anyways I think I'll add destroyable (at least movable) walls and I already have a few traps but what exactly do you mean by timed traps?

There hidden traps. (Trap doors, moving spikes, fire shooters, crushing walls/floor/roofs...) All timed. Like everything 30secs one of those traps happen.

Something like that.

Ohh I get it most of my traps are trigger based but just some random traps going off in the maze won't be bad either thanks

Hey what do you guys think of team bases? The space on each end of the maze is pretty empty, besides the spawns, and I could probably make a system for teams to be able to upgrade their bases over-time. The game is meant to be centered around the maze but it may actually be cool to make it a full-scale battle where you could attack from oppsite ends of the maze (IE - send catupults/arrows across the map(or even inside the maze!))

What do you guys think? Btw this isn't an actual set update just an idea

Nice... Wait... I thought this was a maze??? Not a close quarters combat?

Well if its close quarters combat.... Add a few shotguns, claymores, C-4, Landmines...

And add some open rooms. Like a pit, your fighting over the pit and if you fall you die. Also, make it where you can hide behind things...

At guest lol I guess I failed it into the game summary but its actually more of brickbattle type game. Its also meant to be more of a fantasy genre, so I'm trying no add those type of weapons(ones you may find in a cod type game) but I may actually add in a claymore weapon to the shop :o

Also the mazes are still randomly generated so it wouldn't really be all too fun adding in possibilities for random rooms/corridors into the maze generation :P

The pit would also be a problem since I'd have to work around the base covering the ground XD but if I can get around that...

Sounds like stickmasterluke's 'Underground Wars'. If you do create it, try revamping it so that it's less, primitive.

Add pits. Why? well... there a bridge to cost it. and if you plant an explosive at the middle... And it explodes then the bridge falls and you have to find another way around this...

Or if you really want to make this an epic game...

Make A BUCNH of death star like corridors and air shafts and tractor beam stuff and make them spawn like a maze... More building an scripting BUT, it would add an epic gameplay to it. (Mostly cause you can snipe the other side of an air shaft...

And can you add ragdoll effect too?

@thek00l - uhh not exactly like that game :P

@guest - Bridge? Well actually a destructasable bridge going from one side to the other doesn't sound half bad, in fact I may just end up working on the team base idea after all ^.^ Too bad schols about to start though :/. . . Also @deathstar/airshaft idea - Do you mean like changing how the maze looks when it spawns? I may be able to do that but it definately won't be anytime soon XD

Bringin this back, I left Roblox a little while ago but I'm coming back to finish the game ^.^ I still need to get the Maze Guardians working but it seems to be more of a Roblox error than something I can easily fix, so I'll try clearing that up...

Anyways I think I'll begin working on the team bases idea first. Post new ideas, suggestions and reviews here, and be sure to tell your friends. Thanks!

Background music - Well maybe if I added an intro or if I make an official round system but to be honest I haven't worked with sounds before :P
Guns - ehh I was actually planning on adding in arrows as it better suits the theme of the game

*Side Note* I also plan to upgrade the shop so that when you buy an upgraded weapon it actually feels/looks like an upgraded weapon instead of the same weapon with a slightly increased damage level. I'll probably have to rebuild the weapons though so this probably won't be anytime soon

By the way, fixed the maze guardians :D They are a bit laggy and short on features but I'll worry about that after I get started on the team base idea. I'll need to think up a nice design for the bases though...

Its been about a week and so far I've got 0% progress on adding in the team bases or any other ideas I was thinking of hehe :3
I've been a bit busy lately but got a day off tomorrow so I'll try doing as much prototyping as I can for new features nd ideas :D

The buildings or the maze?
Well the maze and pretty much everything in the maze is randomly generated, but I'll be building the actual bases as I plan to allow you to upgrade your team's base over time.

BTW - I did manage to get some time in on the game but to be honest it wasn't what I was hoping for... I did manage to get in a basic design for the team bases and I now have an idea on what I will be working on, but I didn't have any set plans on what I wanted done(/worked on) so it took me awhile to get things done. I should be able to try this again, over the weekend, and hopefully I'll get better results ^.^

Just added in the team bases to the game. It's not anything too fancy but I do plan on adding in some cool new ideas to go with them( upgrades and you'll be able to damage enemy buildings[with visible changes!] )

I'm currently working on implementing in a round system, and I'll see if I can upgrade the maze transitions... Oh and there might be some changes to the scenery too. I got a lot of stuff planned so this will probably take awhile ^.^

JUST at your place, not bad. Pretty cool!

One thing, I couldn't get anymore then one troll looking thing to spawn, no matter how hard I tried.

Really like it, will there be back ground music?

And lock FPS or the limit you can zoom out, or else there won't be any point in the maze...

@Guardians - They only spawn one per person and they come with a time restraint so that you're not constantly being bombarded with bots. You'll usually only be able to trip 1-2 per round

@Music - To be honest I've never worked with sounds before so I'll have to look into that before adding in music

@FPS Lock - Yeahh the actual problem with this isn't adding it into the game but the game just runs too slow paced for players to not have a clear idea of what their objectives are. I tried it out before but you might as well be playing in the dark( which wouldn't be bad in big servers, but as you can tell my games not too popular hehe :P)


Anyways thanks for the feed ^.^ I was able to get in some work on the game also :D

AI team mates. You already have your AI guardian that attacks people, just make one that you can hire for yourself to follow you and fight with you.

More scenic objects likes trees and different types of walls.
