I'm not saying we need to ban all violent video games, I'm saying that we need more video games that don't have violence, but yet still are fun. Tetris, is a good example of this.
Violence is a sad part of humankind, I'm fully against it, I don't use violence, I used to, before I became Buddhist. For those whom don't know, that means I am against violence in all its forms.
I don't play video games, nor do I watch violent movies, the main problem is with video games in my view. Name 10 fun video games that don't focus on violence. That's exactly my point, you may not known 10, that's an issue.
I know 3rd graders who play Rated M games, that's a problem...

@Shred I'm not Christian, but I respect Jesus Christ's teachings:
"But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."

| Violence doesn't solve problems permanently in the real world, it only breeds fear and hatred. |

Disagree on that violence part, but that last part I just wrote a 3 page paper on. Seriously. It's rated M for a reason.

I don't mind violence.
However, there are some games that go too far.
Like Manhunt. |

And that's were classification for video games comes in. If a game is considered so violent that it could upset or offend society, it usually gets banned. |

@12 You reap what you sow, put in blood, gore, and violence in someone's mind they'll begin to think that way unless they have the maturity to handle it, science proves it through studies on the brain. |

If you don't like violence, go to a basement 10' from the ground and never leave.
On the other hand, I'm left-handed. |

| THe game doesn't make the person. All my friends play games like Darksouls, or Grand theft auto, or something. They say if you're fine killing someone on TV, you're fine with killing someone in real life. Which I am, but me and mom made a bet, she doesn't let me play m games. I played the most violent one I could find, and haven't got into trouble for 3 months. |
