some people have a christmas ham, some have a christmas turkey
we usually have a ham but my mom decided to take a chance and have turkey
and by take a chance i mean force me to do everything while she chops mirepoix and feels accomplished |

My grandma has arthritis in her arms. Me, my mom and sister, and our other grandma help her. But I'm pretty proud of her to be honest.

there are lots of people who have turkeys for christmas
even more so outside of the US
in fact iirc the tradition of the christmas turkey has been around longer than the christmas ham or thanksgiving turkey |

Traditionally my Christmas dinner can't consist of any meat(turkey, chicken, ham, pork, etc.). We have stuffing, cod, sometimes shrimp, and other stuff.

well there's not exactly a lot of "christmas-y" sidedishes that are traditional to america because most of them are also traditional to thanksgiving
please name a few suggestions
also i forgot to list cranberry sauce and a cracker dressing (or stuffing, technically it's not a stuffing if you don't stuff it in the turkey) |
