Reason: Inappropriate
"inb4deleted
Let's say I have 2 tables in my database, users and posts To get the number of posts made by a user, would it be better to just store the int in the user table, or count the rows in the posts table? "
I highly doubt it was a mod though, probably one of their automated systems. R.I.P. ROBLOX 2012 |

Well I already know this thread is going to be deleted, since all of my other threads got deleted too. (For no reason might I add) |

| the answer is situation dependant but I recommend storing the number and adding/subtracting it appropriately. It reduces the load on the database whenever the posts is queried, likely to be more than it changes. |

Thanks for your reply trappingnoobs :-)
@SN0X Can't say I would prefer if the mods didn't start doing this to my main account (which they already have anyway) |

@batista,
Oh, ok.
Because the new incompetent "moderators" are doing this to me too.
It would be awesome if everyone who's having this problem could gang up in a group and protest.
Appeals work, but I shouldn't have to wait 2 days+ to undo a stupid ban. Some of the bans are only 1 day anyway. |

| Maybe you shouldn't be posting PHP related threads in a ROBLOX Lua forum? |

This forum is for advanced Lua discussion only, don't even attempt to argue against that. PHP ~= Lua
Your logic is invalid. |

Uhh.
Abs guy :3
Nowhere on this subforum does it say anything about posts being restricted to Lua.
That was like 2010 I think. |

MrDoomBringer posted a thread stating "This forum is for advanced Lua discussion only." The thread was un-sticky'd, but I'm sure the other Scripters will agree with my claim.
What baffles me is your attempt to argue against the fact that this forum was made for *Lua* discussion. You should have enough common sense to realize that ROBLOX uses Lua; not PHP, not Java, *Lua*. Sure, we may post a few things non-Lua related. However, these threads relate (in some way) to ROBLOX. Your PHP help requests do not. Any attempt on your part to argue against that clearly demonstrates idiocy and illiteracy. |

@Abs guy :3,
Rules can change.
They did, like, 2 or so years ago.
Besides, if that was why he got the warning, it'd be for the reason "Off Topic". |

| @Absolute, About your argument of it being only restricted to Lua, there was a thread posted where MDB posted that he didn't really care if we posted about other languages. Also, Sorcus is in charge of this subsection now, and if he finds it not appropriate he'll delete it. |
