umm 1 million years from now isn't a long time they would see signs of a soon explosion (soon as in 10s of millions of years) and the star closest to us is so far away there wouldnt be much effect |

it will end in 5 billion years where the sun will swell using up all of its hydrogen fuel and burn out the planet and it will turn into a white dwarf
