I have an interesting idea for a new Roleplay.
I'm stepping away from my usual RP genre, fantasy, and trying something else out...
A fantasized medieval European style, setting, and world.
Meaning, no Elves(BE PROUD OF ME!!!), dwarves, hobbits, etc.
Only Humans.
Of course, I would include basic things like magic, monsters like goblins, and the such.
Buuuut, don't worry, it won't sound as bland as it does right now.
I'm still workin' on the idea, so don't be too harsh on it ya'll.
Sooo, whatcha'll think?
Give basic summary, or let ya' wait in "anticipation" for it. |

Or use creatures rarely used in most Fantasy role plays like Kitsune and Will-O'-the-wisps Not to mention, I never see anything with Asian Lungs (Asian Dragon), just Western Dragons. Never mind...
Um...Anyways, it really shouldn't matter if you do take out the generic mythical creatures or not, as long as the story is interesting enough. |

| What are the most used mythical creatures in RP's? I see a lot of elves but I don't know what are the other commonly used ones. |

Goblins, Demons, and Dwarves. And of course, the Elf-Dwarf rivalry is constantly brought into play. Most people (I would assume many beginners would do this, too) make Elven characters since they're known for their beauty, slender build, and a graceful appearance in general. They are often more natural and well-connected to the world and can be spectacular magicians and archers. There are also humans, who are used less than Elves. They have less grace and earthly connection, but they still often have magic powers. Finally, I never really see many Dwarves. They're less graceful, often bad-tempered, gruff, and far more greedy. Dwarves usually love mining, they like gold and splendor over natural beauties and tend to isolate themselves. They don't get along particularly well will Elves for obvious reasons, and aren't social or loved like elves are. They are of course, great workers and fighters, as well as blacksmiths and miners, but they just aren't as liked. ... Could someone tell me why I just made a paragraph on that? |

| I don't know why but thanks. I want to see more of the less used mythical creature such as Centaurs, sphinxes and others. I know that they are not as popular though. |

| True, like Asian dragons or the Shishi (Chinese guardian lions). I know there are many more. |

You're talking about stories based off of ancient mythology, and no one mentions the Aztecs?
They have a giant feathered lizard, a hummingbird that acts as a guardian angel, a creature that is part-crocodile-part-fish-part-toad, and dogs with hands for fur! HANDS FOR FUR! |

A cool fantasy rp would be no humans. Because humans are jerks. |

Humans are pretty stupid to have been repeating their mistakes for thousands of years...

@Solo: My basic Roleplay is part of the "Sword-and-Sorcery" genre, in which, it's similar to the Belgariod.
This won't be.
@Dark: You must be new here. Read the above.
@Ab: I used Kitsune and Will-O-Wisps in Fantasy Gaiden.
