Ban automatics and semi-automatics that can fire w/o reload.

That's pretty much banning all guns. No one really uses bolt-action, anymore. Or lever-action. |

| Probably because of the amount of games like COD that are played by kids with unresponsible parents. |

I blame violence on a number of things, video games are just a small part of that list. Video game violence is minor compared to things stubborn idiot relatives can provoke. |

I like rifles where you have to lock it, and fire two bullets, open it, then lock it again and fire two more. It is fun at shooting ranges. Though I'll never by a firearm. Give me a bow, and a target. It's jolly fun.

because they want to blame as many things as they can think of.

Watch TotalBiscuit's new video, "Tragedy and Video Game Violence" http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=5uwAo8lcAC4
It's very insightful. The media wants to destroy it's competition. |

Parents let little kids play games like that.
I heard a five year old say "Ill be in the military. I killed 50 people on call of duty and never died. I can win the war by myself"

That's called a five y/o being five. When the games considered most violent series were released in the late 1990's to early 2000's, school shootings DROPPED. Want to blame Starcraft? Starcraft is wildly popular in South Korea. Guess what. NO MASS SCHOOL SHOOTING IN SOUTH KOREA RECENTLY OR OVER THE COURSE OF KNOWN HISTORY.

Any way to exploit a story to make them more profit, no matter how immoral, they will do it without hesitation.

@Tea
Apparently the media says that some shooters are addicted to a game called "Dynasty Warriors." It's funny because there's no blood or anything. There is no decapitation, no severed limbs, you can't even kill your enemies, the most you can do is injure them then they run away and come back later. These guys better do their research.

Go take a look at the little kids playing COD cursing videos on Youtube. It's sickening. And the failure parents that buy these games for their kids.
They DO get more violent and it does make them more desensitized. Believe me, I LOVE video games as an art form, but I'm not one of the typical dumbass aspies who will defend it simply cause it's their favorite stimuli |

This sums up my thoughts. I think the military uses (or used to use) video games to desensitize people. Kind of odd when you think about it.
I'm also a big fan of video games, but I won't deny the violence it can cause people to exhibit.
Concerning the media, I have to agree that they blame video games more often than they should be blamed, but that doesn't mean video games are never the cause. |

@b3n and Super
There's been a colossal amount of studies, some by the US government no less, proving that games do not cause violence. All studies claiming otherwise can be shown to be inaccurate. |
