| I don't even own an ipad, but i already know the feature sucks for ipad. It's basically p2p. Why? we can play all the games on roblox on the PC for free. |

Because it's called business, so they need to make profit from it...
It also cost thousands of dollars to develop an app |

| Yet another BC feature. Forget p2p only being on the ipad, it's going for the PC next... |

I feel that they should have collapsed the hangar before the plane got on to the runway...
People complain, they give in, people complain about how following their demands somehow made things worse...

@zan,
Your right. With the BC items, BC games, ROBUX, less privilages for NBC, the ROBLOX staff probably will make ROBLOX P2P in atleast 2 years. |

@EXO Last I checked, it wasn't much more than $100 to create apps. If they were to do as most other apps, they would use banner ads to make up for the costs. Once that 1 time license payment is paid off, an app will essentially generate free income. If your app costs thousands to make, then you must have done something wrong. |

| Agreed, I think it is a grievous mistake to limit the amount of people who can test and give feedback on a new feature. |

@ZOO,
No, lots of people buy BC and Google pays lots and lots of money to run their ads here. |

@AquaRaider1, lol it costs thousands of dollars to develop an app, in some cases it can cost more than 10,000 dollars. if it costs less than a hundred then why don't we already have the apps on android, windows os, xbox, ps3 etc...
Please know your facts before trying to prove some one wrong.
With 100 dollars you can only get the developer certificate that will allow you to put your app in the app store. |

@EXO I've done app development, and it doesn't cost a penny to put work into it. Paying employees to make it is what costs money, and even that doesn't cost anything more than what they've previously been paying them, unless they hired new employees, of which I'm highly doubtful. Your argument over "why don't we already have the apps on android, windows, etc." is easy to answer: it takes TIME to make apps. They've already announced that the Android app will be available early next year, and I don't think the others will be showing up any time soon because they have to assign their employees tasks to optimize the current apps and the site. If anything, they're over their heads in profits. Now I don't see a reason to continue this pointless argument. However, my previous argument is not baseless, and I just wanted to get this out there. |

| Its not the app, or the work that really costs money. Its the fact that it costs a lot of money to run the mobile servers and maintenance on said servers. Its a lot more expensive for them to run ROBLOX mobile. |

But here's the deal: They wouldn't do it if it wouldn't bring in a profit. Their number one concern, as with all companies, is to get more money in their wallets. Sure, the initial costs of some new servers is gonna run around a few thousand, but that will quickly pay for itself with all of the profits from online memberships and ads. Server upkeep is relatively inexpensive, and, since the app is fairly new, they aren't going to have very many servers dedicated to the mobile app as of yet. It's like a test to see how successful the app will be, and if buying more resources for it would actually turn up greater profits or not. And at the end of the day, lets face it: They're a very well known company that's swimming in dough. They're not going anywhere anytime soon, and they could easily run on ads alone, still turning up a profit, just not the same size as they would with member benefits. BC memberships were created with the intention of gaining even more from an already successful site. |
