If those of you have visited the testing site (http://www.roblox.com/Call-of-Robloxia-5-Project-FPS-Testing-Site-place?id=86819744) and used the snipers, you will find out that pressing Z doesn't scope the gun.
What happened:
I've added variable zoom to the scopes. Basically, you need to press q to scope. While in scope, you can press Z to change the level of zoom on your scope. This is a new idea I'm testing, and though I personally think it works better for me, I'd like to hear on the majority vote for this scope idea.
Poll: Should we implement the new scope feature of a variation zoom using Z key while scoped? Or should Q key and Z key remain as separate scoping functions? |

| You could make Q scope and the scroll or Z zoom. |

| I think that variable zoom should be an option later on, when you add attachment, possibly. Till then, have some snipers have classic scopes while others have variable. |

| Press Q for scope. B to increase zoom, V to lessen zoom. This was how used in Jumprock's Assault of Guns game. I liked it. |

| @xcn: Sounds good, but if there's only two levels of zoom, a single key to toggle between them will do fine. I'm hesitant to suggest Z cuz it's kinda awkward to press when you use a WASD setup like 98% of everyone ever. |

| I think z should zoom in more, while q is the scoping button. |

Q to zoom in, and scroll the mouse wheel (if possible to zoom in out) if not possible, Q and Z as seperate functions |

| I think the variable zoom is a wonderful idea. I'd really like to see this in action and use it in the game! |

I quite like this concept but perhaps you can use two buttons instead one.. How would you zoom out after zooming in but once again it depends on how it will affect later, like once I zoom like 5x, it will keep that 5x zoom when I get out of scope and return or it will reset to default? If so then just keep it as one-button function to make our lives easier by having less buttons to mash.
I think scroll mode for zoom in/out is the best but once again we will need to test out and see what is the best for us. |
