I have nothing against them really, and this is not meant to be a mean thread or anything, but why are updates released without being tested? For example, the new leaderboard does not support teams. Don't they at least test them a little? Teams is a pretty major thing in leaderboards, I don't see why it can't be tested.
Just expressing my opinion. |

| It's because _NO ONE_ goes on gametest unless there's a flashy banner. If you want better updates, then go play periodically on gametest. I assure you it works. |

Ah, so what happens if we find something? We tell them and they don't change it?
I have found roblox to be quite stubborn some times. Even when there are glitches and such in updates, they tend to only care if it involves losing items/robux, or is a really bad glitch. Correct me if I am wrong. |

| I have seen other threads here on roblox in S&I that are made to help roblox, so they post the glitch/hack, and then the thread gets locked. I don't see why such helpful threads get locked shortly after they start. It seems as if you guys get angry when something negative about roblox is said. And please don't just say "corrected", I'd like to know how roblox will receive my complaint and if they will actually do something about it, because numberous times I have attempted, and roblox does not seem to care. |

"Even when there are glitches and such in updates, they tend to only care if it involves losing items/robux, or is a really bad glitch."
There's three reasons I can imagine for this:
1. Priority - if it's not important, you shouldn't assign all of your manpower to it. Because of this most fixes usually take longer to come out than, say, a fix for a pretty major exploit.
2. Streamlining - Recall in the bytecode blog article that they mentioned they had to take in account places that used bytecode before deciding to remove it. The same happens here. If they wanted to release an improvement to the KeyDown function, for example, they would have to see if their implementation breaks the current use.
3. Developmental time - Other than the two reasons above, this is probably the most important. You have to actually code the fix and make sure everything works after, which isn't always easy. Remember how long the DLL exploit took to patch? That's because it was more complex than other exploits and finding a fix would be very hard.
Or you could be impractical and call the devs lazy.

I understand that it takes a while and might not be incredibly easy, and the priority thing, well I feel that new hats and gear are taking over the priority of fixing in-game glitches.
I see your point of view however I feel in a sense that the mods get angry or mad in a way when you post a thread having to do with a rather important security issue. I remember I saw one post about hacking into admin on the website, and after a few posts, the mods locked the post. Sometimes, the text even gets deleted, for no apparent reason. The thread was made to notify roblox of the issue, and they lock it and get rid of it.
If there is another reason, please tell me.
I'm not trying to be impractical and call the devs lazy. As a summary, I feel that there is some anger when you post something negative about roblox, even if it is for a good cause. |
