How well do you think scripters fare in ROBLOX's dynamic economy versus the traditional player? Or do you think ROBLOX's economy isn't dynamic?
How do you think the future of the scripter will play out in the economy and the potential rewards as ROBLOX searches for a higher quality of creation? |

| I think Scripters stand a lower chance in for ROBLOX rewards (such as popularity, or front page games) due to the simplistic fact that this is a children's game. The community is looking for basic, easy-to-play games such as "Ride a Cart to the Moon!" or similar. It's actually quite a shame that we as Scripters can work so hard and not get any credit or recognition. :( |

| Yes, but we `scripters`have a tendency of not completing our projects. |

As much a chance as anyone. I think there's a considerable expectation that Scripters would have more representation in popular games, but there isn't any particular reason for that.

To add on to BlueTaslem, the Scripters don't get front page as often simply because there are less of us. We have the same odds per person, we just have less people.

Define: Scripters. Scripters as in Game Creators like Crazyman32 or Scripters as in making cool random stuff like BlueTaslem/Oysi/Stravant/Anaminus or Scripters as in dudes who never finish their projects like .. or Scripters as in dudes who just hang around here and ultimately have nothing to show like YOU KNOW WHO.
The first kind will always enjoy the glory and the 2nd kind will always have their fun making those random things because that's what they want to do. Good luck to the 3rd kind and I have no comments on the 4th.

@k00l That's like saying, when listing engineers, "you forgot the nuclear bomb that will blow up your bridge."

| Users who focus on making games and use scripting as a tool to create games tend to thrive and profit from the Robloconomy. Pure scripters don't do so well. |

@Sorcus,
What about people in all four of those categories? |

You cannot be in 1/2 and 4. If you are in 1/2 by default you have something to show.

| Ok so maybe not four or two, because I do have a game and I do have a ton of unfinished projects. |

I feel like I'm a little bit of all of them.
I guess I do have stuff to show, like a ton of (semi-complete) games, and a ton of popular models, but I never finish my games to a point of which I'm satisfied.
I think the first and second category are almost the same, I personally think Crazyman32 enjoys making games just as much as he enjoys having the fame, and that the people who make cool stuff, although they manage to get place visits, can't keep that constant flow of visitors. Crazyman32 has achieved that knack of producing games that people want to come back to.
Do you think ROBLOX is focusing on creating a higher standard of games, or making games easier to create, but at the same level as they are now?

| I would consider myself in the fourth category, but that's subject to change. I've been working on a nice API for easier event handling and what not, it will help beginners in creating some of their first scripts. It will also pose as a good and efficient way for advanced scripters to create epic stuff with less pressure. |

It seems as if they're focusing on the latter. |

"as in making cool random stuff"
This is definitely where I stand-just because I can care less about fame & fortune. If we got real money for place visits, then I'd have more of a reason to make a popular place. Tickets and friend requests just don't cut it. |

| Do we count place stealer? I mean, how do they make the front page with copied games while people who legitimately make games, are way more fun? |

I think, on Sorcus' list, I could pretty much be anywhere...maybe not 2 though, I have no Lua h4x to show you.
I've just recently started making games. The first more of a tech demo- fancy GUIs, :GetMouse(), sweet spectate mode, etc., and the second a playable fun game, only when I get a full server and a 2nd trys to start, it doesn't...it's like an overflowing glass. The containable amount the first server, the overflowing part the 2nd server. Not enough players to have fun, and so they get bored and leave.
I wonder what my next game will be...probably something to do with combat. Kirbykid and I were going to make a brickbattle, but I guess that kind of failed, and Meelo's law claimed another victim. |
