if your school restricts it? I was trying to get on it to shut down the computers of my peers and whatnot for entertainment.
It wouldn't work for me, since it was disabled. So I made a word document in a .bat file containing cmd.exe, and opened it but some firewall came up saying I made an illegal command.
Will I get in trouble pls, pls help. |

ffff Is it seriously that big of a deal? I just hope it didn't send some kind of security message saying that their network has been breached or whatever. I wasn't even hacking, I was doing really simple stuff that anyone with half a brain could do.

Worst part is, I was signed on to my school username that has my name in it. |

| I have a list of every user computer IP at my school, me and my friends would see who could shutdown the others computer the fastest during class. |

No, it's not illegal. Your school won't do anything just because you tried to access cmd.exe and were blocked from access to it. You wanna do something fun? Try COMMAND.COM
It's the old 16-bit MS-DOS command prompt, and my school didn't block. I could view the C: Drive and all the hidden and system files in a directory with "dir /a"
Of course, this only works if your school uses a 32-bit server system; 64-bit operating systems can't run 16-bit programs, so 64-bit windows will lack COMMAND.COM. |

| Also, my school doesn't restrict the running of batch files, nor the creation of them with notepad, but that's because there are a few batch files that run whenver you log on to any account on the school intranet, so it's kinda obvious why. |
