Meh, I support.
Wealready have grass and sand, so what harm can these do, just don't make them look like Minecraft's snow/ice. |

I know that it's possible to use bricks, but if you've ever used terrain you'll know that it fits together better, is much easier to manipulate to create a landscape, and causes a lot less lag. Instead of taking five hours to make a hill out of wedges you can just drag it out of the ground.
Next time you might want to actually think before you post. If you haven't ever actually used terrain, don't post at all. |

I never said I didn't know how to, oh illiterate one, I said it's EASIER to use terrain. Therefore, I am suggesting making more materials so terrain can be better and therefore games that use terrain better as well. How are you unable to comprehend that?
As to looking like Minecraft, snow is snow is snow, it looks pretty much the same in most all games. Even if it is an exact copy, they can't exactly sue for "stealing our snow" when it resembles most other video game snow as well. |

Swolt, I'm not sure how you don't know this already if you claim to use terrain; using terrain to make a landscape is EASIER. There is literally a tool that lets you drag a hill or mountain out of the ground. Updating the terrain isn't a waste of money.
Are you really that thick that you still don't understand? |

I know what are you saying, but roblox is not going to spend money updating terrain, because you can use blocks. And i know, using terrain is easier than using blocks, but is easy to make a terrain with blocks, is not impossible, look this example: http://www.roblox.com/Terrain-place?id=13696425
(Download C-Frame plugin to do it Faster)

mummymark, using ice blocks takes too long.
Swolt, it's not wasting money if it helps builders. |

I'm wondering which would be better-
GUI weather, (like snow and rain GUI's)
or
real brick related weather. (real bricks) |

I like the idea, However, It would cause quite abit of lag for some users. For the Snow, you can just use scripts, free meodeled or not. As for the ice, Using the iceblock shouldn't take long, Just resize. Terrain wouldn't be the best idea, in my opinion, because of the lag and the difficulties people's computers have.

@malcot3
Ok ¬¬
But at the moment, there is no ice and snow terrain, so at the moment you can use blocks!!! :D
Because roblox is going to update terrain, like in 2 or 1 month :/ You cant expect roblox is going to have snow and ice terrain in 1 day, so i recommend you to use blocks, is easy :)

Connerrules1, He meant as if it were a terrain block, otherwise known as high scalability (or whatever it's called) and not a block.

Mazara using terrain would be LESS laggy. Terrain takes up less memory space than bricks.
Anyone who says to use blocks, stop talking, I've already explained why using blocks would take forever. |
