That wouldn't be very fun, I'm sorry to say. The weapons and tactics used wouldn't prove to be a thrilling or fun shooter.

The problem is that in a game like COD, the earliest you can get without the game being atrociously boring is World War I. COD is about slaughtering hundreds, and you can't do that with a musket.

@Overwatcher The only front that could be possible is the Eastern or one of the final operations in the west. |

| One mission would last hours since it's RPM is 3 but if you can reload the musket extremely fast you might get it to 4 or 5. |

| Not really because you would shoot and eventually get closer to go into a melee. |

A WWI CoD wouldn't be too bad. Most of the guns would be bolt-action, but most players are used to it. There would also be machine guns like the Lewis and shotguns would be invaluable during close-range trench warfare.

Sitting in a trench, watching artillery bomb the crap out of No Man's Land, then being killed by mustard gas does not sound like fun.

@Overrwatch
Clearly, you don't know much about WWI to think that the soldiers just sat around. Yeah, why do you think tanks became so popular later in the war? They provided cover to attack enemy trenches.

| The kills were somewhat satisfying, whereas using other guns felt so dull. |
