The official RP forum countdown timer to the end of the Mayan calendar 2012!
On December 21st, 2012 A.D. the ancient Mayan Long Count Calendar comes to an abrupt end. There are many scientific theories and historic prophecies that claim this will be the end of times. What is really going to happen at the end of the calendar 2012, doomsday, the end of the world? Only time will tell.
Furthermore, post your own theories on what is going to happen when the Mayan calender eventually ends! Will be be stuck in an infinite time-loop? What about the explosion of the universe in half a millisecond?
-Graulas
CURRENT TIME LEFT: THIRTEEN DAYS! Unlucky thirteen, eh?I hope the "gods" don't play around with irony. |

| We have a 50/50 chance of the world ending, Super... But also NOT ending... Evidently, your theory is valid but invalid in role-playing spirit! |

Technically, the world should have 'ended' back in January, for the Mayan calender did not count leap years. I survived. |

The Maya calendar used lunar cycles as it's basis and is more accurate than the Gregorian. We had to add the leap year to correct our calendar.
So long story short, the Maya calendar doesn't have to account for leap years because it is inherently more accurate. And we will all be dying in December. |
