| Looks pretty good, although keep in mind that if you intend on using the computer for playing requiring games, you should get a desktop. Laptops are very delicate compared to a desktop, and usually overheat faster. |

I would get a desktop but I frequently travel and move back and forth from my moms and dads, so it wouldn't work out.

I have heard nothing but bad things about Alienware. Besides, anything I have left goes towards a mouse and keyboard for it.

Get windows 7 instead.
8 breaks a few games. |

Get windows 7. 8 feels okay when I tested it, but I'm not ready to give up the blue bottom bar and green start symbol from XP. Did I mention I'm still using XP?

My friend has a HP pavilion laptop that runs Skyrim on medium-high GTA on high Minecraft with no lag with shaders and everything never overheats

Still If you want a computer to run games at a high level, last for years, and never have an issue, build your own desktop. |

Listen I have nobody around that knows a clue about this stuff, I'm really the only one in my family who does, and I would rather just buy one, and if you actually read posts, you'd see I travel too much to get a desktop. I didn't say I wanted high graphics, I would be completely fine with medium or even low graphics.

Don't get snippy, as I said. Do what I did? Get a medium end laptop, and build your own desktop and keep it at once play. All in all, I can build a laptop that will last for 6-8 years, and run pretty much everything, for just around 800. |

This is pretty good.
I would still, personally, go for a MacBook or MacBookpro.
I don't want to deal with KLs and viruses, nor do I want to pay for an anti virus. |

macs are just as susceptible to viruses as pcs, if not more due to less sophisticated and tested defenses
there's no point in paying for antivirus either, just slap on two good free ones and you're good to go for everything you'll encounter |
