according to my teachers, there are a few kids that don't know how to read
is it unreasonable for me to not believe this |

accordingly, in my school, there are kids who touch each other's face cause they feel like it.
BTW: they aren't blind. |

Wow. I'm in 8th grade and some kid said he didn't know what a verb was.

I'm in 8th grade. My friend just started willingly reading books. I felt so achieved at that, and it makes me happy every time I see her English grade going up. |

I'm not really a person who likes to read, but my English teacher makes us read. In 8th grade at my school, you have to read 12 books by the end of the school year. They have to be at least a certain lexile level and certain number of pages.

My school requires the lexile be 900 or above and at least 100 pages for fiction and 80 for nonfiction. The teacher has to approve the books.
