1. Union uniforms were blue, Confederate Uniforms were grey.
- Not even close, the infantry, yes, other branches and ranks, no.
- Robert E Lee's uniform was Blue, he was a confederate.
- Forgot the name, but a branch of the Union had grey uniforms.
2. It was 1 country vs another.
- Think before you act -_-. It was The United States of America vs The United States of America.
3. The Union won.
- Nobody won, since it was US vs US, the only thing that brings to a winning situation is that 1 side was from somewhere else, thats it.
4. The Confederates were weak.
- Not true, last battle of the civil war, 4000 union soldiers vs 60 texas confederates, guess who won? The Texans. This happened in 1869.
5. The Confederates are gone
- Not true again, the flag still flys in Texas, Mississippi, etc.
- It even showed on the news once, and that damn flag still flys, its just not fought over anymore like it was in the 1860's.
6. The Confederates were racist
- Not true, many thought they were going to loose there homes, same with the Union.
- In the end, many FARMERS, not slave owners (Though they also lost stuff), FARMERS, lost there homes after the war.
7. The Confederates were the only ones abusing the Black skin colored people
- No, the Union was doing the same exact thing, buffalo soldiers were abused by the Union and Confederates.
- In the end of the war infact, the union let one of the states keep there slaves, that state was union! Forgot the name again.
8. The civil war was like a clan war on ROBLOX
- Not even close. Its like a group tking itself, thats closest you can get to the civil war, and thats not even on spot.
9. The main flag was the one with the X.
- No it was not, that was a battle flag, that did not even last that long.
- The main flag was the one that kinda looked like an american flag, only with 2 red lines, 1 white, and where the stars would be, the stars were arranged in a circle.
10. The states had kept there same flags as they had in the civil war.
- No. During the civil war, texas had 2 flags, afterwards both replaced with the current one.
- None of the states kept there flags, they got replaced.
11. The Union's flag was the same as it is today
- No. It kinda had the circle like the confederate flag, only it had a few more stars, and a main center one i think, not known for sure (Correct me please if im wrong on how it looked, it did have a different flag though).
12. The civil war was between only the US
- The British Empire (Now day United Kingdoms) were getting ready to join the confederates, but didn't due to the Victorian era starting.
- Yes, the British had an empire, it had collapsed in WWII though, because they were forced to give it up by the US, in need of help fighting the Germans.
The US had there empire removed, then helped Britain in WWII. ___________________________________________________________

"I got this all from Camp Mabry, Austin Texas."
Of course, if you live in Texas, the deep south, then they'd say all these good things about the confederates. The union fought to abolish slavery, and the south fought to keep it. Simple. Plus, slavery is bad. Disagree? I feel bad for you. So, Union was good and Confederates were bad.

@Waioo: It was not just slavery, that was 1 of many things.
The Union were the same way about the slaves infact.
It was mostly Law Changes (Something with the goverment, please say what it was, i had forgotten).
And Camp Mabry is a military camp, its not all Texas there. |

@Waioo,
You're the type of person who thinks the Civil War was fought over slavery. Truth is, it wasn't. Allow me to point out some facts.
-Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, and Stonewall Jackson were abolitionists at heart. Robert E. Lee even bought some slaves at an auction and then proceeded to free them out of generosity.
-All three knew that slavery would eventually fade out, but had to be kept around for a few more years due to the South's dependency on it. |

1 country vs another. Then you say it was USA vs USA.

-.- I will give you the simple story, since you're acting a bit dumb.
Slavery is bad. The south was supporting slavery. The north was not supporting slavery. They made laws saying no slaves were allowed. They couldn't import slaves, cutting off the slaves from the south. The south raged, and they snuck in slaves. War began. The union won, in the end, because the confederates surrendered. Slavery is gone. Yay.
Get it now? It's simple.

@Waioo: No it did not go that way, you have your information all wrong.
And The Union were the same way about slaves, infact, 1 of there states were a slave state, and in the end of the war, they kept there slaves in that Union State, but i forgot the name...
Will someone remind me? I am just not remembering stuff today. |

waioo, Actually the Union had no intention to free the slaves at the start, they knew that they would most likely lose the war because they were losing more soldiers. So they brought up the idea to free the slaves mostly as propaganda.

| Confederate States was its own country at that point. Therefore, it still stands as fact that the United States has won/drawn every single war it's ever been a part of. |

It was the US vs The US. Thats that, Lincoln even tried to say it was brothers fighting brothers, but nobody really wanted to believe that.
And no, the main reason was not slavery to the person who thinks that, it was mostly over law changes and rights i believe.
