you get better performance, more customizability, and more ports in a netbook or cheap laptop for the same price and size or lower you're basically just paying 100 dollars for a touchscreen

Well, laptops are not easy to simply use in a public setting (they feel bulky to me)
Tablets are more geared towards, well, the everyday man who doesnt want to carry a laptop around, yet wants a large screen.
Thats the only way I can put it. |

Some tablets like Kindles (though it's more considered an e-book) are geared towards reading but also in include applications.
But tablets don't have too much of a use.

| idk ive tried my aunt's ipad 2 and it lags on large websites that i tried accessing from an acer aspire one and the acer aspire one didnt lag |
