I was bored, and I saw a C&G thread about how raiding Fort Fang was incredibly unfair.
So, I decided to go there as a Guest, and raid.
It is horribly unfair, in my honest opinion.
The Uzi that the raiders get is either glitched, or it's scripted poorly.
1) It doesn't even do damage when it hits on some occasions 2) It may be more accurate, but the damage it does compared to the M16 is outrageous.
Not to mention the presence of TKing idiots on the raiders team.
Not just that, but the server of JC I was in (I was the only raider after USSF left), NONE of them actually used anything but the sniper, which has a low fire rate to prevent abuse with it, but can be made into a rapid fire 1-shot-kill weapon by dropping and picking up, and they refused to use the knife at all.
I think JC needs to focus on M16 training, and not sniper training. I also think the sniper needs to be DRAMATICALLY repaired, and the shop system should be changed.
Before I get tackled by JC for saying that the base is unfair towards raiders, let me say this;
I raided to test my hypothesis that the raiders who say the base is unfair might have a point, and they do, in my very honest opinion.
I AM IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM SUGGESTING COBRAS ARE UNSKILLED OR NOOBISH.
I am merely suggesting our training system needs to be changed, and cobras need to be taught to use every kind of weapon, not just an OP sniper.
Also, I'm going to stop buying the sniper. I suggest fellow cobras do the same.

Nice work. You actually did something with your opinion too.
I am starting to have a little more faith in JC. Hopefully you dont get kicked out for helping the clan out. Like Epicrules did. |

SantaCruz81,
Epicrules and I don't see eye to eye at all.
I was a Green Jacket when John declared them outlawed, and I was the only Green Jacket Epicrules ordered to go to JC.
He also never really liked me, as he's called me a "waste of talent" on many occasions.
I made it very clear that I hold JC in my highest regards, as it is a very nice clan in my opinion, but the soldiers fight in the wrong way, if I can word it that way. |

| Though I believe Fang is considerably more fair than most forts, I used to raid before I was in JC, and it DOES give JC rather significant advantages. I believe it would be nice to have some form of anti-tk script(s). |

You got one thing right with the snipers, but there are ways to avoid being sniped.
You were absolutely wrong with the uzi, as the uzi is not the only weapon that has the glitches that you speak of. Did you finalize that when the uzi did fail to cause any damage that the presence of health glitch was around? Perhaps, you should have tried it with a different weapon to assure it.
To cause ANY damage with an M16, you need to be in close range with the opposing player. If you watch the directions the bullets go, you'll notice that they hit in different spots EVERY time. If you want to blow a hover that's way up in the sky, you'll notice that it is nearly impossible with the M16. The uzi takes advantage of it, and is far more capable of destroying an aircraft in the sky EASILY.
Every weapon has its ups and downs and its function may have been meant to be built that certain way. Of course backspacing the sniper was NOT a meant function, but you must realize that this does not make the BASE/FORT UNFAIR.
You spoke of the USER INTERACTION and weapons that made the fort "unfair". When you say "Fort Fang" is unfair please do ELABORATE. The fort itself is FAIR; by far an EASY fort to get into. If it were not, I don't think it would be raided that often. Because our fort is fairly EASY, we are known as a target to those "smaller" clans. Unlike many forts and bases, ALL of JC's weapons are ACCESSIBLE to EVERYONE. Team killing is an issue for BOTH sides, so I don't believe that you should introduce this factor to prove anything regarding what has been said.
The M16 is hardly used, and not many JC LIKE the M16 .. why? Because it SUCKS.
To a degree, I can agree with you that the sniper needs to be repaired (as well as other weapons) and we need to focus more with learning to use the M16 precisely. We need to be familiar with the weapon that's in our starterpack the second we join a server. I must admit that I am sick of seeing so many JC use the sniper.
Just to let you know, the sniper is meant to be OP. >.> Now, before I come to an end, I'd like to mention that I am merely pointing out that you conducted an UNBALANCED EXPERIMENT and failed to acknowledge that it is really the user interaction that may be the one to blame. The way players interact with objects in the fort change day to day. Fort Fang is hardly updated, and when it is, you see very few changes.
So again, poorly constructed experiment. Not "tackling" you; I'm just pointing out the flaws in your experiment that lead to a failed solution. There could have been a better experiment to prove that Fang is unfair in other contexts.
