HOW THIS WORKS: Numerous bills and issues shall be set on the 'table' for senators to vote on. WHO CAN VOTE: Only elected senators, and Chairmen who are officially of that rank in the Congress group. WHEN THEY CAN VOTE: 24 Hours from when this is posted, Senators can vote for the issues and post opinions. HOW THEY VOTE: Each law on the 'table' will be numbered. A Senator has the right to vote 'Yes' 'No' or 'Abstain' (Abstain is where you don't vote at all on the issue). For example, on the first law I might write '1.) Yes.' Senators and members may post opinions about the laws on the table. Laws up for 'EDIT' is not to be voted on, but is to be suggested on. For example: "1.) I suggest that 'Insert Quote Here' should be changed to 'Insert Here'" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BILLS/LAWS ON THE TABLE: Author (zephurus) Constitutional Amendment Up for VOTE
1.) Article 2, Section 2, Clause 3 will be changed to:
The inauguration of the new President of the Sardalian Republic shall be within a week of the election, however the president may immediately begin leadership of SR upon being elected. The inauguration shall be at the Capital, or any official Sardalian Republic fort or base, of the candidate's choosing. The president must also post his oath on the wall. The inauguration shall be conducted by the Chairman of Congress, or if he is absent, then by the Attorney General, or then, the former President of the SR. If none of these members are available for the inauguration, then it may be conducted by a member of the President's choosing. The President shall be required to say the following oath:
"I do so solemnly swear, that I shall faithfully execute the Office of President of the Sardalian Republic, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of this Great Republic, with honor, fidelity, and humility, so help me God."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How to get a Law on the 'table': PM a Chairman to get a law that you have written on the 'Table'. If the Chairman decides not to put it on the 'table', a petition of 10 'signatures' of SR members may overrule it, and cause the law to go on the 'table'. |
