It should not be treated on an immature and childish level. For example, actually calling someone a bully does not make your situation any better. "Bully", by itself, is a childish word. When it's added to a structure of simple words, it is a childish phrase/sentence/message.
Imagine a doctor, if you will, trying to diagnose a patient. This patient has an infected wound, but the doctor keeps saying "You have a serious boo-boo." Do you know how RIDICULOUS that sounds? Come on, society.
If it's a serious matter, it should not be addressed with childish words and actions. The people who perform predatory acts should not be labeled as "bullies". If someone is being verbally/physically abused, they should handle it maturely. |

| Some kids just lack certain social skills. It's up to those with social skills to help them out. If I ever saw a kid sitting alone on a daily basis, I would take my friends with me to go sit with them. However, I'll admit, there are some kids that sit alone for more than just a lack of social skills. I know from experience that some kids just have egos too big for their bodies and are complete jerks to everyone they meet. |

| I agree, there should be another term for bullying, but I don't think a suitable word really exists. |

| I don't think we should coin a term for it, in all seriousness. Just use a term like you would for any older person. For example, beating someone p would be considered assault. Stalking someone would be considered invasion of privacy, making fun of someone would be called harassment, etc. Coining a certain term for it will just make that term sound childish after a while. If you treat kids like they are adults on this issue, yu will get much further. |

Why did kids go from fighting back to cutting themselves in corners and drinking bleach?

why are you comparing bully to 'boo-boo'
bully: "A person who uses strength or power to harm or intimidate those who are weaker." 'strength' or 'power' could be in physical, verbal or emotional form. |
