So, I've done a bit more testing with these and, personally, finally figured out exactly what they're for. I've documented this on the Glue's main wiki page. It's accurate, but it's still missing a bit of information.

It's possible to glue instances together without them being directly next to each other, this, of course, is a given and we know this by nature of other JointInstances.

However, the F properties are the left-to-right corners which makeup the flat surface of where the two objects are glued (they never use the Z value of the Vector3).

What I don't understand is, where should they make the connection surface when two parts are not directly attached (touching each other)?

Sorry, I can't think of a solution. I would assume it's not possible for the Glue object.

Without testing anything, I would guess they either aren't used or are halfway between the parts.

Long story short: Anything "Glue"-like is broken in online mode and will probably remain that way for a while. Unless you're working inside of a Character (since you know that's only simulated locally), then just don't use them ever.

Too bad, because they're really fun in Play Solo. But you can simulate many of these effects if you use a combination of random objects like welds/invisible parts/subclasses of the Rotate object.

@HotThoth

Ah, but what of the ROBLOX-endorsed build tools that allow you to glue surfaces together? They seem to work rather well.
