| Who were you before you found the book? Nobody, I suppose. Nothing mattered before you found the ring, did it? If it did you'd ought to remember it, so it must not have been important. Just the ring, that's all that matters. The ring can make you a god. The ring will let you rule the world. Other people need books and long rituals and dribbly candles to cast magic, but you, you only need the ring. The ring... it's more than magical. It's magic itself! Why are you in a library? Books are without worth, now that you have the ring. Why did you even come here? When did you come here? You can't quite remember. In front of you is a desk, on top of which is a large volume entitled "Magicae sanitatum", and a small untitled book bound in dark brown leather. |

(Apologies for not posting earlier)
I curiously study the small book. I don't have much interest for that magic volume. |

| You turn the small book around in your hands, and flip through the pages. It appears to be a notebook, but all the pages are blank. |

Odd. It doesn't look anyone wrote in it. Oh well, it's mine now.
Why is this large encyclopaedic volume in front of me? Why would I read something like this? What in the world is a "sanitatum"? Skimming through it might give me some answers. |

| It appears to be a spellbook of minor healing magic. It's all written in an archaic script used by an ancient civilization, but you seem to understand it well enough. However, most of it seems to be brews for curative potions, with a minor spell here and there; hardly worth the attention of... who were you? You have the Ring, so you must be important. You're... the ring-bearer! |
