The Cleveland Browns need a running back. It's easy as that. In the upcoming draft the Browns will likely be able to draft one of the best running-backs to be drafted in years in Trent Richardson.
The Browns current roster has 4 Running Backs. With Peyton Hillis signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. The only player even a hard-core fan out of Cleveland would know is Chris Ogbonnaya. No feature every down running back on the current roster.
Many fans that predict the Browns will take another draftee instead of Richardson believe that the Browns will add a player via free agency or add a running back in a later round. That isn't the smartest thing to do as the free agent running backs left without a current contract are Cedric Benson, and Ryan Grant.
Cedric Benson is a decent back, but his age and off the field problems are a major concern. Currently 29, Benson will turn 30 by the end of December, far from the average age of a running back. His off of the field issues have been the major reason why he hasn't been signed yet. Benson has been arrested a total of 5 times. 2 times in college while playing for the Texas Longhorns, and 3 times while playing in the NFL.
Ryan Grant is similar to Benson in age, both with December birthdays. But hasn't been the feature back anymore, sharing snaps with James Starks last season when playing for the Green Bay Packers.
The later backs in the draft aren't far as skilled as Richardson. The Browns should take the best man on the board, and that is Trent Richardson. |

| RBs drafted high in the 1st round usually get worn down quickly. I would take Blackmon, they need a target for McCoy more than anything. |

Around 7 years in the league is where the back gets worn down, and can't play to peak performance.
Wide Receivers are very high bust risk, and I believe that they need a solid back-field before they receiving core. |

Richeredson is a playmaker and is something they would need Justin Blackmon does nothing great just everything good plus when he is against lardarius Webb twice a year the browns will be shut out.
Richeredson can catch and be a explosive back. |

| Trent is a strong and in good shape.Peyton Hillis Couldn't do anything this year he wasn't playing well and like what Brandon says. He's explosive and has very good balance it takes like 4 guys the tackle one guy. Also he could help out a lot for the Cleveland Browns. |

I thought they would go for Justin Blackmon... get a play-making WR in pick 4 and then grab a downhill and physical back in Doug Martin at pick 22....
I am fine however if they pick Trent Richardson though cause I want Denver to get Doug Martin. |

| The Browns drafted Richardson who is receiving hand offs from Weeden. Blackmon is now being a bust with another bust Blaine Gabbert in Jacksonville. |

@Donny I wouldn't label him a bust yet. He had a nice game last week.
Must I remind you of how Crabtree started out? |

| I don't think he is the 49ers #1 WR. They have co #1s. |

| Blackmon is not a bust. Gabbert is a big time bust though. That's why the Jaguars are gonna start former- Miami Dolphins QB Chad Henne over Gabbert. |

| Trent Richardson was a great pickup and all but I still have my doubts Cleveland did all they could with their first 2 picks.... Still think taking Blackmon first and then Doug Martin later would've been more positive for Cleveland. |
