So How comes it's OK for Paul Ryan to say:
"The reason I got involved in public service, by and large, if I had to credit one thinker, one person, it would be Ayn Rand" Like he really did? |

| Maybe because Ayn Rand is not a communist and communism is frowned upon in America? |

| So in the 1850s South, it would be unconstitutional to proclaim that your guiding influence was Harriet Beecher Stowe? |

| Because Ayn Rand's teaching don't create conflict in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas? |

Ayn Ran is the ring wing equalvilent of marx.
It took 70 or so years for Communism to cause trouble, the same should be siad for Randism.
However if both statemetns do not cause equal anger in a people, then you admit the politica "centre" of given people is way to left or right. |

Ayn Ran is the ring wing equalvilent of marx. - Again, no. I would consider Milton Freidman or Murray Rothbard to be the Karl Marx of Libertarianism. She is like a Mao or a Lenin. She has her followers, but she is by no means one of the most beloved figures in Libertarianism.
It took 70 or so years for Communism to cause trouble, the same should be siad for Randism. - Ayn Rand did not call for a revolution. Karl Marx did. And even then, the ideas of Marxism failed to spread due to its suppression, and it appealing to most illiterate workers. And even then his ideas were not taking seriously by the peasants, only academics as a new way of looking at history and economics via analytical assessment. However, Rand wrote during a time of mass information, with the radio, TV, etc. She also did not call for a revolution.
However if both statemetns do not cause equal anger in a people, then you admit the politica "centre" of given people is way to left or right. - What? |

Eh... I would disagree on Milton...
You can only go so far right if you're a capitalist; there's a point reasonably close to the center where it's not even capitalism anymore. |
