IMO Skyrim is an awful game.
Borderlands 2 is the funniest game in a long time though.

| I actually don't like either of them because I don't play FPS often. |

Skyrim- hell no. Borderlands 1.5- decent, better than original, but still, hell no.

In order to stay committed in Skyrim, unlike than the millions of gamers who were introduced into The Elder Scrolls last year, played a generic Nord/Orc/Imperial Warrior/Battlemage, you have to be a real fan of the series. Learn the lore, get to love the game. Play a character, rather than just wandering around and doing whatever. Don't just follow the quest markers; DO the quests, ask about information. My love of the series itself originated from Morrowind and, by Talos, I'm glad my friend mentioned it to me. Here was what I remember: "So, I borrowed this game called The Elder Scrolls III from my friend. You know, the one before Oblivion?" He found out that I'd never even played the series. Next time I came over, I tried the game out. Despite his protests, I played my favorite class (actually, I technically made my own) a thief (he strongly recommended I be a warrior because of the game's notorious difficulty).
A week or so later, I went to my other friend's house, the one who owned a copy of Oblivion. We played a bit of both games, them expecting me to love Oblivion. I fell in love with Morrowind instead (although Oblivion is still an amazing game). To this day, I STILL play Morrowind. |

| If you hate skyrim than you don't know what creativity is. |

Skyrim has less potential for creativity than any of the other TES games.

Morrowind - The epiphany of RPG's, every RPG creator should look at it and wish they could do better.
Oblivion - Had most of the original elements that was so famous in Morrowind and therefore made it a great RPG.
Skyrim - Beautiful graphics, but took away a lot of the general difficulty and skill that was needed to play Morrowind or even Oblivion in some cases. (I still played it of course, beat it and blahblah)
______________________________________________________
Borderlands - One of a kind, and made a lot of Singleplayer FPS's look like piles of crap.
Borderlands 2 - Felt like it never brought anything new to the table. The story of course, was flawless. |

Skyrim is an ocean with the depth of a puddle. There is a TON of content and exploration, but EVERYTHING is the same dull, easy, boring crap meant for everyone and their dog to be able to play.
Play Mount & Blade: Warband if you want a real open-world RPG.

| skyrim is literally hack and slash, sometimes scream gibberish at people, and maybe point fingers. |

Even Diablo III is deeper, more interesting, and more challenging than Skyrim.

IMO not really.
Diablo III is one of those games that you look back at and wonder "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?"
The game is focused on its loot, but you don't get any satisfaction from finding a new item as you can find something 3x better in the AH.
The items are supposed to make or break a hack & slash game, and here the items are very boring compared to games like Torchlight II.
The game is polished. TOO polished actually. It feels like it's a very thin veil hiding a mess.
The plot was doing fantastic until the end of Act III. It must be the same thoughts going through the writers' heads like Suzanne Collins and the ending of Mockingjay.
Blizzard obviously doesn't know the difference between challenge and frustration. Challenge is fun. Frustration is not. Not being able to dodge out of the way of attacks is frustration. Being forced into a cookie-cutter build is frustration. Grinding for hundreds of hours is frustration. Dying instantly from projectiles you can't see is frustration. Invulnerable Minions, Jailer, Reflect Damage, Meteor enemies is frustration. Having a repair cost so high you can never make it up if you don't grind of hundreds of hours is the worst kind of frustration.
Awful always-online DRM is frustration.
And the list keeps growing.
