I may lack qualities. I may be ignorant. I may not be reasoning with the controversial people like some of you think I should be doing...
But I'm still going to say what I feel needs to be said.
Trolling and harsh criticism has become too common in this thread. The quality of this forum may not meet your expectations, but that is no reason to troll and criticize people. If you are convinced that trolling and harsh criticism is necessary, then you're awfully daft.
I often see the word "growth" thrown around this forum by the trolls and the critics. Now, I present to you, the definition of growth:
growth - the act or PROCESS, or a manner of growing; development; GRADUAL increase
Notice how I put two of those words in CAPS. That was obviously intentional, and I shall tell you why:
The definition of process is "a systematic series of actions directed to some end." The key word in that definition is SERIES. A PROCESS is a step-by-step procedure. It's not sudden. It takes TIME and PATIENCE and COOPERATION. The trolls and the critics evidently lack these qualities, or otherwise they wouldn't troll and provide harsh criticism unless they just want to be noticed.
Now, gradual means "taking place, changing, moving, etc., by small degrees or little by little." LITTLE. BY. LITTLE. Does little by little mean sudden? No. Does it mean abrupt? No.
Both of these terms were not mentioned in the defintion without a reason-- and no, I did not come up with these definitions. These are specific definitions from Dictionary . com.
What I'm saying is, if you want better RPs, trolls & critics, you need to realize that growth is a process, and growth occurs gradually. If you give the new people some time, as well as some proper criticism that includes advice and support, then I assure you, the quality of threads in this forum will increase remarkably.
With that said, I'm not trying to be a "greater-than-life" brat. I'm sorry if that is how I presented myself. Like you all, I want to see growth. But, how we think we should come about that growth is where we are diverged.

| Okay, I apologize for my usage of the term "daft" above. I was just provoked by the trolling and whatnot. But, upon writing this, I calmed down. :3 |

I miss when people would join all kinds of roleplays, cliche or not.
When people would not say if your roleplay sucked or not, and if they liked it, they'd say so.
When most of the threads were 100+ pages.
When not every roleplay was Fantasy or Sci-fi.
To be honest, I MISS Highschool roleplays now!
Only because you guys can't step up and come up with a new RP genre.
Every RP is the same now!
Afraid to admit it, but even HS roleplays aren't that bad anymore, |

I can agree. When it comes to RP I usually go on Chickensmoothie due to this. Besides you have more freedom to what you type. |

'criticism is not needed' then how will people ever improve or has RP twisted criticism into being inflammatory comments, as with bebi's criticism? criticism is how people let you know that things could be improved it's not some evil art |

| I agree. the trolls and critics are just annoying. Don't like your idea? Bam. I'm gonna ruin it for you. And who made you the king or what people can or can't do? Seriosuly, trolls and critics, if you don't like your ideas, make your own. |

| Well, Master, I was leaning more towards harsh criticism when I said that. I don't mind criticism, not at all. But it can come off as an insult if you aren't careful. That's why I suggest that support & advice should be included in any criticism. |

We could have many great roleplay genres on here. The Lion King, Hunger Games , African [Lion King // Hyena // etc.] , Zoo RP , Highschool RP [My favorite :3] , and maybe even a RP about Dragons and their riders. During my time on CS I found so many good choices of RP, On here I see the same thing over and over again. New idea... dear god please someone come up with something new. |

the problem with RP is that it believes all form of criticism is trolling if someone posts advice on a thread, usually the OP will overreact and think you're attempting to flame him |

criticism is cool i guess

'hey do u want critism'
'no thnxs'
'*long paragraph of complaints*
'i-'
'*even more criticism* |

I just wish people could be more creative with Roleplays... |

@Master,
That's sort of a generalization. I've actually seen plenty of people accept advice responsively. |

| Master, it doesn't matter whether they accept the advice or not. If they don't, we still shouldn't troll them to death. They will likely improve on their own by getting involved. |
