I'm glad they're not mandatory for my school. If we had those conferences at my school, my parents wouldn't go. I tend to misbehave in class a lot, so the teacher would just tell them that.

like, today we did a pass-around writing (you get 1 minute to write, pass it to the next person and they do it, and on and on) so one girl got hers back and guess what it was about a mermaid and pen fifteens it had pen fifteen written on the page as in, you know and the teacher is showing it to all the parents cause no one came clean |

I have student led conferences, which means we can come and talk to our parents instead of the teachers, but its kinda stupid to me.
But, its better than them talking about you behind your back. |

Lol. I think we've had one of those things before. Where you pass around a piece of paper and someone has to put a nice compliment about you. The teacher said that she can easily track any bad comments back to us.
