Today I received the AWESOME news that the Toronto Blue Jays traded Yunel Escobar,Adeiny Hechavarria and Henderson Alvarez for Josh Johnson, Mark Buehrle, Jose Reyes and John Buck. The Toronto Blue Jays CLEARLY won this trade. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yunel Escobar 2012 stats:
AVG: .253 OBP: .300 OPS: .644 RBI: 51 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Henderson Alvarez 2012 stats:
GS: 32 W: 9 L: 14 ERA: 4.85 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Andeiny Hechavarria didn't have enough playing time in 2012 to really see what he has. ======================================================== Josh Johnson 2012 stats: GS: 31 W: 8 L: 14 ERA: 3.81 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Buehrle 2012 stats:
GS: 21 W: 13 L: 13 ERA: 3.74 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jose Reyes 2012 stats:
AVG: .287 OBP: .347 OPS: .780 RBI: 57 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I believe John Buck won't be on the 2013 Toronto Blue Jays 25 man roster. ======================================================== If you saw my first Toronto Blue Jays post, you would know that I said Rajai Davis or Anthony Gose should be in the #1 spot in the batting line up. I have now changed my mine as Jose Reyes should be in the #1 spot. ======================================================== Toronto Blue Jays 2013 batting order:
1. Jose Reyes [SS] 2. Colby Rasmus [CF] 3. Jose Bautista [RF] 4. Edwin Encarnacion [DH] 5. Brett Lawrie [3B] 6. Adam Lind [1B] 7. Maicer Izturis [2B] 8. J.P. Arencibia [C] 9. Anthony Gose/Rajai Davis [LF] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As I said in my last Toronto Blue Jays post, I believe The Jays should get ride of Adam Lind. Move Jose Bautista to DH, bring Edwin to 1st, move Gose to RF, and put the deserving Rajai Davis in LF. Again if we got rid of Adam Lind we could keep Mike McCoy on the bench who is a dangerous base runner. If the Jays do this the line up would go as followed.
1. Jose Reyes [SS] 2. Colby Rasmus [CF] 3. Jose Bautista [RF] 4. Edwin Encarnacion [DH] 5. Brett Lawrie [3B] 6. Maicer Izturis [2B] 7. J.P. Arencibia [C] 8. Rajai Davis [LF] 9. Anthony Gose
This would give the Jays THREE dangerous base runners in the starting line up with another on the bench- Mike McCoy.
I know this is saying a lot since the Jays were 4th in the AL East but... POST SEASON HERE WE COME :DDDDDD |
