The more liberal and atheistic you are, the more likely you are to support theocratic fundamentalist nations like Iran, and the less likely you are to support secular nations like Israel and the United States.
Go figure that one out. |

| The majority of the world doesn't support Israel and U.S.A for their actions. I guess they are all atheist liberals right? |

@Cheese
You telling people to not insult and generalize is like Osama Bin Laden telling people not to kill people. It is hypocritical

United States and Israel are far from secular. United States happens to be the most religious first world country, and only 42% of its population is secular. Plus, I do not approve of those countries' actions. United States interferes in every war and spreads war everywhere. Israel is killing Palestinians for no good reason at all.
The countries that are most atheistic are not wrongfully judging other nations on whether they are secular or not. |

@Doct I haven't generalized anything. I did not use the term "all" or "every." I simply stated what is statistically true.
@Known It was an observation. At no point did I attempt to establish a causative relationship between the two variables.
@Ael THat's what we'd call a strawman. Did I SAY that EVERY SINGLE PERSON that supports Iran is an atheist and liberal? No, what did I say?
@Slack Religious belief does not make a country non-secular. The governments are secular.
And please, I don't appreciate emotional and mindless rhetoric about how the Israelis/Palestinians are heartless demons that only care about killing the others children. It's nonsense and detracts from real debate.
@Ry No, it wasn't aimed at you. And by support I mean effective support. By defending Iran you (editorial you) are effectively supporting them.

"No, what did I say?"
You said: "The more liberal and atheistic you are, the more likely you are to support theocratic fundamentalist nations like Iran"
Liberals are naturally liberal. This implies that they are 'likely', in your terms, to support theocratic fundamentalism which is actually a hilariously inaccurate assumption.

| Uh, you don't seem to understand the point of this thread. The title contains the word "irony" in it. I am pointing how how ironic it is that liberals do tend to be more supportive of Iran, since what you said is completely correct. |

" liberals do tend to be more supportive of Iran,"
How so?
"since what you said is completely correct."
Which part? |

How so? ________ Because it's true? Conservatives tend to be more pro-American and liberals tend to be more anti-American. It just is. Sorry you didn't know that.
Which part? ________ That it is ridiculous that liberals support Iran. It is ridiculous, which is why I called it ironic. |

"It just is."
That doesn't prove you right at all. It never 'just is'.
"That it is ridiculous that liberals support Iran. It is ridiculous, which is why I called it ironic."
Actually, I was talking about your claim. Your claim was ridiculous. |

BUT IT'S TRUE! Ask anyone! It's common fricking knowledge. It's not something I should have to prove. It's something you should learn from just being here.
If you want: “Fully 84 percent of conservative Republicans favor taking a firm stand against Iran’s nuclear program. Fewer than half as many liberal Democrats (38%) agree,” |

You need to reread what I said very carefully because this debate is starting to get ridiculous.
I didn't say they supported THEOCRATIC FUNDAMENTALISM. I said they supported nations that ARE theocratic fundamentalists, which is evidently true. |
