Days have gone by since we said our last goodbyes. It's funny how the wind will whisper something to me, and you will suddenly fall back into this world. The concrete beneath us shakes at the seams and the dirt rises up. Then, like any whisper, it disappears, and we return back to where we belong. But I often stand there, where the whisper used to be, and I just wait, hoping for the sound to magically reconstitute itself.
Days still go by, and they go by with or without you, because of or in spite of you. But there are still some things I remember: those impressions you left in my skull which were fresh for months after, the night trains that still trek through my mind, staring at the clock in the bottom left corner of the screen only to wind up amazed at how time sinks through the cracks. It's so easy to get wrapped up time after time, and you wake up after a bad relationship or a personally-induced coma and so much has been put behind you against your will.
Sometimes, I still say hello to the thin air. It means nothing, I know - but it helps pass the days. And oh, how days have gone by. |

"As for the source of the music, I believe it comes from the unconscious; that there is no such thing as talent."
"The other thing in composition is opening up the unconscious."
"They are too focused on the audience rather than on their own emotions, or they are too focused on technique or perhaps on both."
