| Although, I personally don't support secession itself, if Texas doesn't want in, it's fine. Some may say that U.S. Government is tyrannical, I personally don't think so. However, if you don't want to follow our rules, then go ahead, no-one's making you stay. |

| Texas is an asset of the States, it's US property. They have no right to secede. |

It's unconstitutional to secede. Unless an amendment is made that gives states the right to secede. Which means if Texas secedes, it's breaking the Constitution, which was one of the documents that the USA was founded on. If they wish to make an amendment that allows Texas, or any state to secede, they would have to go through the processes explained in Article V of the Constitution.

To those who are saying that it is illegal, let me put it this way.
It's when you break up with that really clingy girl, you've looked at things, and you realize that it's in your own interests to move on. However, she says you can't leave, because you said that you would be together forever.
See what I'm saying? |

| Well, if Texas declares itself independent, who's going to enforce the law that says they have to stay? |

So, I suppose the belief in people's right to control their own lives is illogical?
Because leaving one government, for ANOTHER government because a fraction of the people in a certain area wants to means that it should happen?
And I don't get it, you're trying to say control their own lives, which means anarchy. Meaning Texas would be free land, which means it can be controlled by the U.S

| I'm not saying that Texas should secede because of the current fraction, but if the majority decided upon it, I'd have no reason to stop them. |

| Yes, because major problems with already existing businesses, taxes, ect. along with riots and mass immigration is no reason. |

Texas Is probably the most independent of the states.
Texas is the only state allowed to have their flag the same height as the US flag.
Texas is the only state that pledges allegiance to the state flag.
Texas is the only state legally allowed to secede according to the treaty of the Texas annexation. |
