| I never found it unlikely. It can end any day with a giant volcano under a park, uneducated people eveywhere, obesity, debt, politicans, rednecks, people like darkfire, etc. |

Jefferson himself stated that you must water the tree of liberty with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Its pretty obviouse what he was reffering to.
Also here is a good explanation of what is occuring in America.
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.” ― Alexis de Tocqueville |

No.
Because the fathers of modern democracy saw and anticipated such. |

"A people who puts its privileges over it's principles soon loses both." quoted from someone I forget who
This is what the Roman empire did. America basically = Roman empire. Roman empire got lazy due to kicking butt 24/7, and declined. There are many other factors, but this was the main reason. They just got lazy, as the most powerful. Same thing will happen to America. |

| I've never really found it unlikely, and even it is, I'm not going to live to see it. At least I hope not. |

What.
How can you predict the timelapse of a political system when the times are changing rapidly.
Also, last time I checked, hard most of people would prefer a republic over a democracy.
And Roman empire wasn't even a legit republic, because high people gained 20 votes, then lower people 10, then 5, 2, 1 and the lowest had to for example connect 5 votes to make a 1 vote. Greece wasn't a democracy either, because most people there were in slavery. It more was reminded of an oiligarchy.
Most people do not want to immediately replace the current system with a dictatorship, and I doubt that unless some really deep economic crisis the intensity of the Greek one happens, then it isn't going to happen.

| The Roman empire was a republic, also known as a representative democracy. It was a democracy, by definition. It may have had less democracy elements compared to the United States, but is was a democracy - and it was very similar to the U.S. in terms of our current state of economy (in debt), lack of motivation, etc. |

| Okay, how exactly is America going to fall? This is the most ludicrous argument I've heard in a while, in terms of feasibility. |

| I don't see any country that currently, or in the foreseeable future, poses a significant threat to take down the United States. |

America isn't going to be taken down, it's taking down itself. |
