| Algebra is the part of mathematics in which letters and other symbols are used to represent numbers and quantities in formulae and equations. |

y = -0.2x² + 12x + 11 y - 11 = -0.2(x² - 60x)
Find x-intrecept then y-intercept. Then graph a linear equation and make the range for y. move it boi.

You have to simplify into intercept form. (y=mx+b)

what are you talking about
you mean you want me to just draw a line between the points where it intercepts the axes |

ok i guess
y = -0.2x² + 12x + 11
y-intercept is obviously 11
for x-intercept, x=0
-0.2x² + 12x + 11 = 0 x² - 60x - 55 = 0 x^2 - 60x + 900 = 900 + 55 (x-30)^2 = 955 x-30 = plusminusroot955 x = 30 plusminusroot955 x = 60.9, -0.903 (3 s.f.)
it is only now i realised there are three points and you want a line
what |

x=x
if x=y, then y=x
if x=y and y=z, then x=z
if x + 1 = 2, then x + 1 - 1 = 2 - 1. x = 1.
if x - 1 =2, then x - 1 + 1 = 2 + 1 x = 1
if x * 2 = 4, then x * 2 / 2 = 4 /2 x = 2
if x/2 = 4 then x/2 * 2 = 4 * 2 x = 8

| Just wait til you get to quadratics; then you'll see how hard algebra can be. |

"find all pairs of real numbers a and b such that (a+b)^2 = (y-4)(x+4)"
gfd someone solve this
i'll give you guys a clue, there is only one answer
i love quadratics they're so neat
apparently this year we're learning how to solve cubics in all cases which i was sure wasn't possible but oh well
i think it involves complex numbers somehow |
