Richard Nixon will forever be known as a crook by most people, but he made one mistake. We should never forget it, but we should not forget what his presidency accomplished either.
Under Nixon, schools were forced to desegregate. This happened the most under Nixon.
For the environmentalists out there, Nixon established the EPA.
He also signed the Philidelphia Plan. This forced Eployers to hire legally qualified black people into construction, and not not hire them for their race.
Nixon introduced the Family Resistance Plan. Although it was not passed, it was a welfare reform that was approved by most economists to help poor families with wages.
Nixon introduced a healthcare reform. It proposed paid coverage for people with mental illness, dröög abuse and ælcoholism. It also provided healthcare for poor families, while middle and upper class people would still have to pay. Sadly, this was shot down by the democrats.
Nixon opened up diplomatic relations with China and Russia, allowing American chains like Wal Mart to open up there.
For these reasons, Nixon was the best president in history.

Nixon has a record as president, Romney doesn't. I supported Romney because I absolutely hate Obama.

Martin Luther King didnt have power, he just protested, Nixon had the power. He used it in a good way and desegregated schools.

So ar you saying it was bad of Nixon to desegregate schools just because Martin Luther King protested it? It is astonishing that you could critisize someone for giving people more rights.

But you said Nixon should not be given recognition for civil rights in the south, even though he was the one who forced it.
I never said Nixon wasnt a crook, I am saying that Nixon deserves recognition for the good things he does. For example, I give recognition to the bad things Bush did, and the good things Obama does.

| I was reading a article saying the EPA is trying to allow children who were neglected as human test subjects, even if it will hurt them they said it was for the better of the entire population. :( |

@Cow
Source? I would believe it, but the EPA is for environment. I am not the biggest on environment, but that was just for people who believe that humans cause global warming.
