| This takes place before Sherlock and Watson even met, before Irene had anything to do with either of the two. And before Sherlock was even a known private detective. And the backstory of all 3 will be revealed. As well as a some OCs.. I guess. :L |

(Well, I know nothing about Ilene. BUT HERE GOES...)
As I walk down Whatever Lane, I shake my hips from side to side. I eventually come across a young gentleman with his chin raised proudly. I tap his shoulder and comment, "Hey shugah bugah, wanna go grab a scone and a cup of coffee?" |

[LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL]
Yeah, Sherlock may be a private detective. But that doesn't mean he's known. There is no main, or interesting crime around at all. There are simple robberies, but that doesn't seem to intrigue him. He wanted something interesting. Not something that was so simple a child could solve it. He shook his head and looked out the window. There had to be something.. Though it was a small world. |

Heres mai CS
I'd like it if you called me Masquerade
But my real na.me is Danny Hawx
People think I am kind, caring, but in a dark and some-what mysterious manner. I am not angered easily, but I tend not to forgive people. I'll let it slide, but deep down I'll still dislike them.
I say I have pretty strange eyes, I could only describe them as a misty, muddy grey that has been brutally smacked across the face with a green paint-tin. I am rather tall, and tend to wear smart suits and a rather striking fedora, if I do say so myself. I tend to wear nice shoes-looking shoes, but the actual material is horrendously cheap. On a more strange side of my wardrobe, I have a various collection of theatre-style masks, I'm sure your familiar with the happy and sad masks logo that decorates many theatres?
Do you really need to know my a.ge? Well, I'm 25
Time to pull out the old history book! Well, It all started when I was released from a mental institution being deemed mentally stable enough to return to common life. Although I am rather sane, I do tend to act some-what strangely at times. So, since I was an orph.an anyway, I had only a small bit of money and some clothes, so I rented a small, very standard room in a dusty old block of flats. In a rather boring life, I try to make the most of things. |

Pseudonym: Aurum Lux Birth Name: Festus Ignis
Years of Age: Twenty-Nine
Town of Birth: London, England
Appearance: Festus has a fairly athletic build, at the height of 6 feet. He has an eye color of black, and his hair is a messy situation of black. His ethnicity is Caucasian, and has a black, worn trench coat on. He also adjusted the trench coat to support body armor, as well as adding straps for small bombs, tools, crossbow bolts, and many other trinkets. He has a mask he engineered himself, which looks rather steam-punk like. His mask is a dark silver color, with chainmail cutting in a thin vertical rectangle just a quarter ways down from the top of the mask to just above the middle of the eyes and his nose. His mask eyes are glass circles framed by a dark, brownish metal. The mouth has thin lines of fabric, making it look like an abnormal scarecrow’s mouth. Festus also designed himself a walking device very similar to the Tallboys in the Dishonored video game.
Combat Potency & Trinkets: In combat, Festus is by no means a trainee. He is armed to the brim with an arsenal he has all created himself, though he prefers not to engage in acts of violence until completely forced to. Festus’s battle style is like no other, for he has an advantage on his walking device, which he calls Crurix-9. He is able to deploy his clockworks on the land below him, such as a he calls the Ignis-3, a small sphere-like copper ball with lights running through it. Once he throws it, it immediately expands into a self-building bronze clockwork titan with a sword and shield.
Biography: Not much is known about Festus, except that he was a brilliant inventor from the moment he was a child. He created his first working invention at the age of seven, and created his first automation at fourteen. It was no surprise though, for he was born in Daedalus, the land of machines. Rumors have it that Daedalus, the man that gave birth to the origin of invention, is Festus’s ascendant. No one knows about Festus’s parents as well, and was rumored they were killed by Festus’s uncle, who was greedy and wanted to enslave Festus to create inventions to sell for a heavy price. Where Festus is right now, it is not known.
Personality: Festus is a man of few words, for he is always brainstorming and tinkering. With renowned intelligence, no mere man can compete with Festus. Though, he is a very mysterious man that lives life in solitude, creating rumors upon rumors. It is shown that he does not care much about wealth or fame, but of a greater goal he strives hard upon. Festus is very loyal to those of his friends, and helps them without thinking of thinking of his own bodily self. Though, this may be his greatest trait, but as well as greatest downfall. He also overthinks much, making more of something that doesn’t need to be.

[Whoops, forgot to change the Biography;
Biography: Not much is known about Festus, except that he was a brilliant inventor from the moment he was a child. He created his first working invention at the age of seven, and created his first automation at fourteen. It was no surprise though, for he was born under a long bloodline of inventors. | He sat back down on his bland chair, looking at his bland room, breathing his bland air. Why was everything so bland? He could practically hear the ticking clock. And his eyes went with the movement of the clock, for he had nothing better to do with his time. He waited and waited. Just something.. Anything'd be nice, right now. |

Danny
I finish the rather difficult manouver of shoving the last piece of my scone through the small mouth-slit in my mask. I sat alone, the rest of the citizens in the cafe had left, or moved to a far away table, as usual. But being a regular here, I didn't have as much trouble as with other places. |

Festus awoke in his cluttered workshop, apparently discovering he had fell asleep again whilst fixing the pocket toy he always played and worked on during his spare time, or whenever the situation at the current hand seemed dull.
Festus took his hanker-chief from his breast pocket of his coat and wiped off the beads of sweat on his forehead. He proceeded to the bathroom and washed his face, and made sure the optics on his mask were proper.
He checked the supplies of his tools and materials that he had in his workshop, and set off to a mechanics store to replenish his materials. After all, Festus was an avid inventor. |

| He stood up. He looked at his clock before grabbing his trench coat and heading out. The time was early, as always. This was around the time he'd leave and look around for something to do. It wasn't odd for him to get up this early to do something like this. At least.. not to him. |

As Festus walked the cobblestone path he always did the the mechanic shop he visited ever since he started inventing, he accidentally bumped into a man while he was pondering upon other things.
"Oh, my sincerest apologies."
Lest did Festus know, that the man he just bumped into was at a level of intellect just as great as his, possibly greater. |

| "No, it's quite fine." He looked around him frantically. Though he looked like he was insane, he was just looking around for boredom was eating through his brain and causing him to lose function. He looked down, to his amusement there was a clockwork such mechanism on the ground. He picked it up. "I believe this is yours." He handed it back to the owner. His intellect didn't seem to be showing at such godawful morning hours. He'd just woken up and wasn't functioning correctly. |

Festus examines the mechanism, before fully realizing it was his little toy.
"Oh, thank you my good sir, I wouldn't know what to do if I had lost this, I'd probably be bored out my bloody mind." Festus replies, taking his toy from the stranger's hand. Though, Festus kept it in the back of his mind that he could just make a new one.
Festus closely examined the stranger, and he did seem a bit fidgety, or insane, as most people put it.
"Have you gotten enough sleep? You look quite... off." |

He nodded. "Bored.." He muttered under his breath, with nothing else to really say. "Story of my life." He looked down again, feeling quite awkward in the general situation. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just have a few things to do today."
He tried to stay in one position for a little longer than three seconds, but his hyper behavior proved otherwise an impossible task. He kept moving his hands from behind his back, to his sides, etcetera. He needed to do something. And talking to a random stranger wouldn't cut it. |

Festus could tell the stranger he was talking with was getting more fidgety by the second. This theory was confirmed when the stranger replied he was quite bored. Surely there was a reason for this strange behavior?
Festus pondered upon this for a second, and decided to show the stranger his workshop, as to figure out this mysterious man. Though, he would have to buy his materials later.
"Would you be interested in seeing my workshop? I think it could keep you quite entertained." |

He looked up, slightly amused. Though it wasn't as exciting as solving crime an filling that urge to be challenged, it'd have to do. For a start. He nodded. "That seems interesting."
He seemed to be less tense, for now, at least. He'd have to read riddles to himself some other time. Maybe the man will have a missing clock or gear. Or maybe a stolen item that he could track down. |

"Then let us travel with quick pace." Festus says, glad to be able to show a living organism his mass of invention and marvels, some not even discovered.
Though, there was something that pang in the back of Festus's mind, that the man was a complete stranger, but Festus felt he was able to trust the man, with possibly his life if it came to it. Festus disregarded this and continued walking towards the way he came, occasionally waiting for the man to catch up.
Festus stopped at a small corner townhouse, which the whole building was his. He unlocked the door and swung it open.
"Welcome to my abode and workshop. Please do make yourself comfortable." |
