I have an example for all of you.
Let's pretend there is a rope tied around your neck. In about 10 minutes, the floor will open up underneath you and you will lose your life. Somehow, you need to get that rope off of your neck. There is a doctor next to you who would be happy to cut/untie the rope and set you free.
But wait...
Ropes have been legally declared "human beings". It is seen as something that lives and will magically transform into a newborn baby after the 10 minutes are up and you are dead. However, if it is untied/cut, the rope is 'dead' and will not ever transform into a newborn baby.
Since it is, in fact, illegal for that rope to be untied/cut, you are certain to die. At least the rope will live.

| I don't think you'll find a single person on this forum that does not allow for an exception for the life of the mother. |

| Perhaps not, but there's a chance. I used this analogy for some people I was talking to earlier today about the topic. They would not budge from their "100% illegal; no excuses" standpoints. |

I would disregard the law and attempt to climb the rope with one hand as I untie the knot with the other, buying myself some time. After I get down, I would still wear a noose around my neck in mockery of the bureaucrats that passed that law.
I completely ignored the point of this, but I wanted to say that anyway. |

You are killing a cell, and I don't see it as any different as killing any other reproductive cell. _____ No, you are killing a small human. It's a biological fact. If you want to have a debate on this issue, please stick to factual information because it's extremely frustrating when people make up information to argue their own case. |

| if I don't want to go through birth as a mother, I shouldn't have to. It's a labouring process and extremely painful, and life risking. My mother almost died after having pre-eclampsia after having me. |

| As for the case of life of the mother, everybody agrees it should be an option. But pain alone is a terrible reason. |

"Avoiding pain is not a justification for murder"
But dying isn't? If the mother dies, then there's nothing left for the baby. The baby would die. |

| Of course dying is. Nobody would disagree. But more than 90% of cases are for convenience, not life or health of the mother. |

@xc6, I see it as there are exceptions, which you can most likely guess, to how I see it. Even though I'm pro-life. |

| its as your organs in you, attach to you, baby is as organ, that doesn't give good to you but you sacrifice your 9 months and energy because there is a hope, but if there isn't why not kill it? |
