| I'm considering asking for one for Christmas over the Wii U since it's cheaper and also has better titles imo, I've always loved pokemon and apparently there are (S)NES games on it like Earthbound and some Final Fantasy games. |

Amazing graphics. Great controls, good touch screen. It is a very good system. Very nice looking menu layout and lots of games, like..
Super Mario 3D Land Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D Mario Kart 7 Metal Gear: Snake Eater Resident Evil: Revelations Kid Icarus: Uprising
And plenty more. I would reccomend it. |

If Pokemon black and white 2 were 3DS only, I would get it. But I'll wait for the next system if it's not exclusive. ^.^

@mikey
Well, you wouldn't expect a large riot infront of Nintendo since when we already have good old Nintendo DS.. |

I still haven't beaten Black, though. Maybe I'll cheat my way through. Too lazy to go through every gym again. I was pressing random buttons and accidentally deleted my save file.

| No they aren't. If it would be 3DS only, sales would be lower. |

@ProblemOfficers & OP
"Amazing graphics" LOL
"Great controls" No second circle pad.
"good touch screen" Resistive touchscreens should not be on a phone or handheld in this day and age.
"Super Mario 3D Land" The most uninspired and shovelware mario yet.
"Metal Gear: Snake Eater" The 3DS version of MGS3 is the worst one out there, do yourself a favour and play it on PS3/360.
The games other than those two are good enough But yeah OP if you enjoy outdated technology and Nintendo games go for it |

Um have you not realised it's a gimmick yet?
It's cool when you try 3D on a new game you just purchased, but after that it becomes bland very quickly. Most people I know play it with the 3D off, all the time. |

@Problemofficers What's the point of having a 3D option if you are not going to use it. Based on an internet survey 62.5% of people asked do not use the 3D function of the 3DS.
25% of people chose "Yes, but less than half the time I am playing a 3DS game".
And 12.5% voted "Yes, more than half the time I am playing a 3DS game."
As you can see, not many people use the function all so often, so it's sort of a waste. |

@TehGoombaOwnz
Where did I imply that I was a PS3 fanboy, did I not say that the 3D gimmick was cool for a short period? Also, where did I say it wasn't fun? I even said all of those games, bar two, are good games. I think you're overreacting.
If you want me to give some reasoning, have you not looked at the substance of the Super Mario 3D Land? It's extremely unoriginal, there is nothing new inside the game apart from the awkward camera angle, every part of the game has come from an old game - apart from the box you can jump in to teleport, but that didn't take a huge amount of imagination.
It's a shovelware Mario built for the purpose of trying to once more push the 3D function. Oh, and before you claim I haven't played it, I can assure you that I have. I did not enjoy it, I'd much rather play some SMB3, SMW2 or SMG.
Don't let yourself be tricked by Nintendo, they produce some interesting hardware and good games, but it's not all gold. Stop convincing yourself it is. |

The Virtual Boy was horrendous, not quite sure what they were thinking trying to make 3D games without textures..
How do they "feel" the same? One is 2D one is 3D, that makes a huge difference. |

Piratty. Wasn't that a little biased saying Metal Gear isn't as good as on xbox/PS3? I personally have the game and I think its pretty fair since you can take it and play anywhere and the cutscenes/graphics are still just as good.

@trollingbot
It isn't, though. The PS3 and 360 versions are graphically superior and the controls are far better than on the 3DS version, since it has a whole separate controller.
If you want to play the best handheld iteration, and I know I will get hate for this, play it on the PS Vita. I've played both versions, and the PS Vita version has a far better frame rate and superior button feel. Note: The button feel could just be me being used to using the Vita more, and therefore an opinion. |

Metal gear on the 3DS is nothing like the actual game. The cutscenes have been overly edited, so they don't really follow the storyline like they should. They tried to make it more attractive and appealing, but ended up making a pretty bad cinematic. The graphics are no where near as good. You can't use the excuse: "It's on a handheld, so what do you expect." Because, the vita also has the HD version of metal gear solid 2&3, and they look amazing. In comparison to the 3DS version, it's graphics are much better, and it follows the story with appropriate cutscenes. Also, they changed the kerotans to yoshis. Whyyy?
Although, if you do not have a games console, or a vita, the 3DS version is probably the best you will get. But if you think that's amazing, I suggest you play it on 360/PS3/Vita, and I think you will be pleasently surprised. |
