[Introduction]

Okay here is a list of things you need or at least should know before you raid anywhere. I'm not saying you have to use this list or even follow it, but I assure you that if you know at least a few of these things you will do better on your raid.

[Know the Base Layout]

You should at least know the basic base layout, which would include the following things: Front Entrance/Gate, Control Room (if there is one), Capture Point (whether it is a flag, console, or other form of capture point), the Jail (if there is one), and the Armory (if there is one).

[Front Entrance/Gate]- This will most likely be your main point of entrance if you don't know about secret passages or have some type of VIP that lets you into the base. It is important to know where it is because if you don't you'll spend some time wondering around looking for the entrance, luckily they aren't usually hidden. Once you know of it you should be able to figure out a way to breach it (Stacking, Egg Jumping, other methods) and thus get into the fort.

[Control Room]- This is a key room in any fort, if a fort possesses one of course. It will be where the controls for the gate are and usually other controls to side entrances and other doors within a base. Once you breach the base this should be one of the first places you go to and take over due to its importance.

[Capture Point]- The Capture Point is arguably the most important feature in a base as it is used to win a raid. It's location should be known by the majority of the raiding party and it should be your primary target. If you're planning on raiding a base knowing where this is located is a MUST. Without it you will undoubtedly lose the raid. You should also pay attention to the defenses set up around the Capture Point because they can either be used against you or you can use them against the defending team.

[Jail]- In the rare case of the defending team taking prisoners you should try to free them if you have time because they can fight for you. Most of the time freeing them isn't necessary unless they are their own separate team.

[Armory]- The Armory is one of the most important rooms within a base due to the fact that it usually supplies weapons which are more powerful than the ones you spawn with. It should be guarded just like the Control Room.

*Note* You do not need to capture the whole base to win a raid though it is highly suggested due to the fact that defenders can hide around the base or control important sectors.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Weapons]

You should know the basic weapons that are available at a fort, knowing what weapons you can use is important because then you and the members/people you're raiding with have a chance to be more prepared and they will be able to adapt to the weapons more quickly.

(Guns versus Swords)

Knowing whether or not one or both of these weapon types is allowed is fairly important. A gun usually dominates at medium to far ranges but a sword will almost always win in close quarters. You can also utilize the specific skills of your members/team by getting them to use their preferred weapon when it gives an advantage to you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Basic Tactics]

Some basic tactics you should utilize are: Crouching, Egg Jumping, Wall Shooting, and Using Cover.

[Crouching]- Crouching is usually used by hitting 'c' with a gun out. It can be used to make yourself a smaller target to hit and you can use it to hide behind walls, terrain, etc.

[Egg Jumping]- Egg Jumping is using the egg hats from the Easter Events to get over high walls, ledges, etc. You Egg Jump by 1) Dropping your egg hat by hitting '=' near the area you want to jump over, 2) Jumping onto the egg hat, and 3) *Hopefully* being shot over the area which you're jumping over.

*Note* Egg Jumping may take a few attempts, while trying to egg jump only be wearing that one hat otherwise it may not work.

[Wall Shooting]- Wall shooting is firing a gun in third person around a wall behind which your gun is sticking out but you're hidden behind. Some people believe this to be an 'unfair' tactic due to the player not being able to be hit until the opposing player gets around the wall which the other player is hiding behind. It is a highly effective tactic that can save many walks and fights back into a base while also making it a bit easier to either attack or defend an area while not taking much damage.

[Using Cover]- This is talking about using what ever is around you as cover you from fire. It is fairly simple and shouldn't be needed to be explained, but I will explain it anyway. Using Cover keeps your player from taking much damage while you regain health or fire upon an enemy. It is useful due to the fact that it makes you a small target and makes it so you die less.
