Sorcus, I've been on the Scripters forum for many years, even before you've joined the team, and I enjoyed foruming here before you started frequenting this forum. When I heard you were new, I was excited, to say the least. A developer overseeing what we discuss and adding the features we've anticipated for years. Also, you seemed pretty chill, with your tendency to joke around playfully at times.
As weeks went by, I was slowly getting more and more disappointed. I absolutely hated visiting this forum on a daily basis, seeing all the locked posts on the front page. Granted a few of them were spam or troll posts, some of them were topics that could have spun off into intelligent discussion or inside jokes. For example, back when you weren't here, there were topics that turned into inside jokes (such as GOBWEY, 45 billion, OVA, etc.). And I'm pretty sure you have no idea what those mean.
Before your arrival, we've been simultaneously discussing intelligent scripting aspects while posting jokes. This is what powered the community. Since you started dictating the forum, we've created ZERO inside jokes. There's a great reason for that, because you've been draining the fun of foruming here by locking pretty much everything.
Instead of you working parallel with us with our feedback, you've used the scripters forum as an opportunity to discover useful hacks and patch them, completely raining on our party. Forced reset feature in every game, making it impossible to hide the leaderboard, patching the local parts hack, and so much more. Other than the simple idea of rotatable GUIs which STILL isn't here after months of "development", I can't think of a single feature that you, or the developers have added because of us.
Sorcus, please bear in mind that you are a role model among thousands of children. A lot of people want to grow up and live successful lives, sometimes in game development and computer science. They look up to you. We scripters look up to you. I'm awfully confused as to why you always either misuse internet memes as an attempt to express how young and kid-friendly you are and rain on everyone's party by locking everything when you can rather do what an average game developer would do, which is talk to us, the ones wanting to follow your footsteps or similar footsteps as becoming computer engineers and game developers. I can go to anyone when wanting childish behavior. However, I cannot go to a lot of people when wanting to learn the job experiences of programmers, like myself.
Also, if you find a thread that is EXPLICITLY spam, DELETE IT. DO NOT LOCK IT. STOP LOCKING INNOCENT THREADS, and most importantly, STOP CLOGGING THE FORUMS WITH THREADS WE CAN'T EVEN POST ON.
I'm leaving this forum, and I invite others to do the same. If this post gets deleted, that means Sorcus loses. He knows that what's in this post is true, and I've even got some fellow scripters of mine proofread and rewrite the content of this post. By staying in this forum, you're agreeing to be Sorcus's guinea pig. Thanks for reading, everyone, and thank you Sorcus, for ruining the online community that we used to love. |

| It's funny because I disagree with almost everything in the original post. Actually, remove that 'almost' in my previous sentence. |

I can't agree more with the OP who posted this. As a two year forumer, I've really been discouraged with Sorcus's moderation efforts. Also, dead on with the part where Sorcus locks everything. I'm considering leaving, or at least severely cutting down my foruming habits here. |

| Actually, there is one thing I agree with in the original post. Deleting threads instead of locking them. Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible without banning or warning the user in the current forum system. |

And with that list, he keeps ignoring my post that proves he should allow us to decide if we want the leaderboard in our games or not.

Lol. One consideration, I will give is the locking of spam vs deleting.

I must say I do agree with a large portion of this post.
Much of it doesn't really apply to me as I lurked more than anything else before sourcuss arrived, but there has been a definitive and negative change to this forum in the time that I've been here.
I no longer enjoy posting here. I no longer enjoy reading the majority of the threads.
Instead of sharing ideas and opinions about game development, there's a very negative attitude (which can be easily seen in Sorcus' post above) unfitting for staff of a children's game. Rather than listening to user input and shaping the game into something better and more creative, we're stuck with many updates which we don't want and don't benefit from in any way*. Instead of responding in a manner fitting of his position, he instead makes a post mocking the ideas, opinions and feelings of other users.
I used to like Sorcus, even admire him. Now I have no such feelings for him. Why? What changed? My theory:
He used to be a pretty fun guy, and we all liked him for his trollish ways. He realized this was (at least in part) why we liked him so, and began 'trolling' (and I use the word lightly in reference to his current actions) not for the lulz but rather to attempt to become more of a community idol.
If you feel this post is a personal attack, I do apologize; that is NOT my intent, but I would like to get my two cents in for whatever they're worth.
*Off the top of my head: - Reset button - Nerfing InsertService - Removing LocalParts hack - "Fixing" the leaderboard
I don't know exactly how responsible Sorcus is for each of these things, but if nothing else he didn't find it fitting to consider or share our opinions with anybody else from the Roblox team.
tl;dr - I no longer enjoy Roblox and view Sorcus at least somewhat responsible for it. |

We did create inside jokes, Right Sorcus?
@Thread Creator:
Sorcus can do as he pleases since he works for ROBLOX so GOBWEY. |

@OP lrn2PM bro
And yeah, without Sorcus, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't enjoy it as much either.
You'd only see 'OGM!!!1 HELP ME SCRIPT', 'SCRIPT FOR MEH I PAY U'
Yes, there's alot of those posts on Scripters, but at least they get locked in a matter of time. Without Sorcus, every of them would probably just sit there.
"Also, if you find a thread that is EXPLICITLY spam, DELETE IT. DO NOT LOCK IT. STOP LOCKING INNOCENT THREADS, and most importantly, STOP CLOGGING THE FORUMS WITH THREADS WE CAN'T EVEN POST ON."
... /facepalm
This isn't an innocent thread, this is spam. Yes, a spammer is against the rules, kk? It's his choice to delete or lock it. It's not clogging it, it just prevents to bump. At least, if he locks it, and the OP was a noob, instead of wondering where is post went because it magically dissapeared, he'd see it got locked and would know to stop posting. |

"threads that could turn into intelligent discussion"
Could we have a tech thread for this please? So that we can post about operating systems, hardware, etc. |

@snox: We talked about that before, denied, twice. It's annoying when something being able to bend into many discussable things gets locked. |

@TheMyrco,
Really? They denied?
Why!!!
Off-Topic is an epic fail; I'd rather not post at all then post there. |
